Modules are easy ways to insert the social widgets into your site using available module positions in your template.
The SCSocialWidget module is installed when JFBConnect is installed on your site. It provides the ability to add any of the social widgets that JFBConnect supports for all supported social network providers. The SCSocialWidget module is an easy way to use the Joomla administrator interface to add a social widget to your whole site, or any section or page within your site.
Since it's a standard Joomla module, all the available parameters for the social widgets are easily accessible. As with any Joomla module, you can set the SCSocialWidget module to show in any template position, on any specific (or all) menu items of your site, and whether guest, registered, or special users can view it.
To use, navigate to the Modules area by going to "Extensions->Module Manager". and click into the SCSocialWidget module you wish to use (or click "New" for a new instance). Then, configure each module to customize the view and behavior of the module.
Some examples for each social network are shown below, but see here for a complete list or look in your administrator area > JFBConnect backend > Social > Examples for an always up-to-date list.
The Like button lets users share pages from your site back to their Facebook profile with one click.
The Follow Company shows a follow button for a specific organization. Use this to help allow users to automatically foolow a company, university or high school on LinkedIn.
The Pinterest Pin It button lets users share a link to your page along with the included image to Pinterest.
Please Note: When using the PinIt button, and image must be specified. When using the Content plugin to automatically insert the PinIt button, the Open Graph - Content plugin must be enabled for JFBConnect to properly detect the best image to use. If no image is found, the PinIt button will not display.
The Joomla Twitter Tweet button lets users share pages from your site back to their Twitter stream with one click.
The Login Button shows profile pictures of the user's friends who have already signed up for your site in addition to a login button. (When logged in, a logout button can be optionally shown)
The JFBCSocialShare module will show the sharing buttons for the current page, letting the user share pages from your site back to their social network. These share buttons includes Facebook Like / Share, Twitter Tweet, LinkedIn Share, and Google +1. The module can be in a fixed or floated position. You can see an example of the JFBCSocialShare module on sourcecoast.com floated to the bottom of the page.
