1. Your image shows "You haven't logged into any apps with Facebook". Have you actually logged into your new Joomla site with your Facebook credentials yet? If you have not logged in via FB credentials, not Joomla credentials and not on facebook.com, then you won't receive prompts for scope/permissions.

2. Is you Facebook application live? If not, is the FB user that you're attempting to log in with an administrator of the app?

I am in the process of deleting and recreating the Facebook App. Since I changed domains I really needed to do that anyway. I will have to do that for Twitter, Google +, Instagram, GitHub, and Amazon as well. I should have just done this in the first place. then when I am finished I should get the prompt and I should be good to go.

OK I did that and now the Facebook channel is complaining that the app has been deleted. Is there something else I have to reset?

Should I uninstall JFBConnect and start over?

Make sure to change the App ID and secret in the JFBConnect backend > Configuration > Facebook section. If the error occurs in the channel, it'd be fine to just delete the channel and create a new one. Also, if you have any users mapped in the JFBConnect User Map area, you should delete those mappings, as they're tied to the old application.

Thanks Melisa, of course I changed the App ID and Secret Code, delete all the User Mappings, Deleted and recreated the FaceBook Channel but now I am getting a new error

Facebook API Error: (#803) Some of the aliases you requested do not exist: accounts

Will have to keep reading the documentation again.

People on the board of the organization I work for seem to be under the impression that I should be able to switch domains as easy as changing the text color in a Word document.

The only reasons you should get that are:
* The account you have set in the channel has an incorrect Joomla user associated with it (one that isn't associated with a FB account)
* The Facebook Page you selected is incorrect or not owned by that user
Both of those things shouldn't happen if you deleted the user mappings and FB Channel. I hate to say 'try again', but can you delete the usermappings, possibly even create a new user account on your site, and try setting up the channel again with that?

I hope that helps,
Alex

Thanks Alex, that is exactly what I was in the process of doing when I read your suggestion. In fact copying and pasting directly from the Facebook account to make sure I don't make a typo that would defeat my effort.

However as it turns out, I will be creating an entirely new Facebook account that will be dedicated to this organization rather then what we currently have which is one of our member's personal Facebook account with a Business page. I need to change the primary email address from This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and I don't know if Facebook will allow me to do that with an existing account.

Oh by the way, do you have a description somewhere of what you did to create your login/register dropdown and subsequent popup?

Our Common Support Questions for SCLogin addresses this with the "How can i open the SCLogin Modal Popup with a regular link?" question.

This is getting to be a long story now.

Facebook has completely changed their interface again. I can no longer follow the documentation because the screens the documentation refers to no longer exist: www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/soci...ok-application-setup

I think I am finding my way around. AutoTune accepted the ID and App Secret now.

OK, now I have something I really need help with. My new username that is connected to the email address used on the new Facebook account isn't showing up even though I authenticated that email address via Facebook phone verification process.

I am getting: Error - Facebook API Error: (#803) Some of the aliases you requested do not exist: accounts

I am going to log out an log back in and see if that changes anything.

Can't get my name to appear, Though others who have authenticated via Facebook do appear.

Can you take an image of the new Facebook Developer Area you're seeing? We just went through the documentation step by step and it was spot on for what we see. Facebook is known for rolling out new developer area updates and it's possible one is going on now, but we haven't heard of it yet.. which is a bit surprising.

As for the error message, can you double check that you created a "Web" application in Facebook. That shows up as a "Website" section in the Settings -> Basic area.

Also, in the Settings -> Advanced section, verify the following in the Security section:
* Server IP Whitelist is blank
* Update Settings IP Whitelist is blank
* Update Notification Email is blank (though this shouldn't matter)
* Client Token is "None"
* Require App Secret - No
* Allow API Access to App Settings - Yes
* Require 2-Factor Authenitcation - No

Thanks,
Alex
