Title
Hi,

I got an empty user list when I am trying to create a new channel.
I bought the JFBConnect, I installed it, configured it as well as the FB application, as detailed in the manual, but when I try to configure a new soccial channel there is no user in the list.
Some data could help you.
I have a personal user in FB and that user has a "FB page". I would like to publish Joomla articles in my FB Page or reverse, show FB wall content in Joomla.

Please could you help me?

Cheers

David

An empty list of users means that no users have authenticated on the front-end of the website with Facebook. Log into the front end with the user that has the Facebook Page. Please make sure to use the Facebook button to authenticate with (not Joomla credentials). After logging in with that user, you should be able to refresh the channel in the backend and the list should be re-populated.

You can follow our guide at www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/post...reate-social-channel for how to create the channel and troubleshooting tips if you run into any more problems.

Once the channel is set up properly, you can create posts from your website pages to go to Facebook or set up the SCSocialStream module to pull down the posts from the page.

Creating posts - www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/posting/to-social-networks
Social Stream - www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/posting/social-streams

Please note that JFBConnect does not currently support personal profile pages in our channel feature. If you want more information on how to convert your profile into a Facebook page, please see Facebook's questions here - www.facebook.com/help/175644189234902

I hope this helps, but I understand that it's a lot of information. Please let me know if you need more clarification/help.

-Melissa

Thanks Mel,

Ok, what should I do to logon in my Joomla using Faccebook button to authenticate? the logon screen in joomla doesn't show any FB button.
I enabled the SCLogin Module and I have this status for plugins
Plugin Status Description
JFBCSystem Installed/Published.
JFBCAuthentication Installed/Published
JFBCUser Installed/Published
JFBCContent Installed/Published

The SCLogin module should show the Facebook Login button automatically as long as Facebook has been configured. If you haven't already added your Facebook API/Secret keys, please follow our guide on how to obtain them:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/soci...ok-application-setup

I hope that helps, but if you still can't see the login buttons, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks Alex,

these steps were done after installation following the guide. So I created the FB app as the guide said and I entered the APP Id and the APP Secret numbers in the JFBConnect configuration. The app is public also.
Any clues?

Thanks!

Could you provide a URL for your site of a page that has the SCLogin module? Also, in the SCLogin module "Social Button Settings" parameter, if you have something other than a blank value, could you tell me what you have and/or try setting this option to a blank value?

Thanks Mel,

The site is www.cervezaslacibeles.com/administrator
This is the hardcopy of the SCLogin parameters you asked for.

When I asked for a URL for the site, I mean give me a page on the front-end of the site that displays the SCLogin module. When I go to www.cervezaslacibeles.com/ I do not see the module enabled anywhere in the source. If you don't want login on the front-end permanently, you will still have to enable it temporarily to be able to authenticate with Facebook.

Hi Mel,

The web site is public. There will be no login nor registered users.
The only thing I want is to show in the web site all things I post in the FB page. Or viceversa, to show in FB page some articles I publish in joomla.

Thanks!

That's fine. However, in order to set up the channel/social stream, you will need to temporarily turn on SCLogin so that you can authenticate on the front-end and then accept the permissions needed for the channel. Then you can disable the module again.

To do the login, you could also turn on the 'Integrate into Joomla Login' option JFBConnect > Configuration > General, visit www.cervezaslacibeles.com/index.php?option=com_users&view=login and then click on the FB button there to initiate the authentication.
