I am trying to collect information to start using your facebook connect function. I went to facebook with your video and the screens are different and request a url for Privacy policy and terms of use. I put those url in and got an reply that facebook cant scrape the info then I was lead to upload a code to my pages for face book or my template header. Did I turn down the wrong street? is there a new process with facebook.
I see later in the search that facebook has a login app but I would rather use a Joomla specific component. Please advise. I am good with what ever need there id I have been using your free sclogin for two years and wish to expand to facebook login component.

Yes, our videos are out-of-date :(

I would suggest reading our Facebook Application Setup Guide for how to initially set up your Facebook application. Then visit our Quick Start Guide for the "Social Authentication" section on the initial configuration of the JFBConnect component.

Of course, if you have any specific questions other than a step-by-step guide to get started, please let us know.

Is it true that I now need to add code to the pages that have the facebook connect login? this would be every page in my site and if this is required, is the best method to do this by making a custom.php file in template?

No, you shouldn't need to add code to any page. The SCLogin module you mentioned using has built-in support for social login buttons and should just work when JFBConnect is installed.

Can you let us know what version of JFBConnect you're using? I don't see a subscription associated with your account, so I can't look up any details about your account. The Autotune tool included in JFBConnect should help to setup your Facebook application setup and help guide you through getting most things setup for you.

Let us know any details you can, and please post from the account you subscribed to JFBConnect from so we can help investigate things further.

Thanks,
Alex
