hi,

this issiue become a challenge .

1. i am using jomsocial, i told them about the switch problem, they told me to ask you.
2. there is 2 possibility for address: basic info - current city and basic info - hometown city, when i choose at the jbfconnect > profiles the homtown i am getting results, but when i choose current city i am not getting a thing.
3. birthday - enclose a PS of the jomsocial configuration, i am using birthday type, but even when i ty date the same thing, nothing happened/
4. about permission, i didnt got them yet, but when i am checking facebook/setting enclose a PS

Everything you mention above is very confusing and seems to be changing with each post. Originally, it seemed like if you set the 'current location' field to import, instead the 'hometown location' value was imported. Now, you're saying that hometown works properly but current city returns no data. Is that correct? Why has it changed? It's very difficult for us to diagnose a moving target. Can you really double-confirm exactly what scenarios are working and which are not.

Can you please answer all the information I asked for above about how you're testing?
** How are you testing this and where aren't you getting it? Are you using the normal registration flow and not seeing it on the registration form? If so, please try using the Automatic registration to see if it's properly imported that way. Either way, please let us know: **

Thanks for the picture. Unfortunately, I don't read that language. Can you tell me what the status is trying to indicate for each of those fields? On your site, the following permissions are being requested of users:
email,user_birthday,user_hometown
You may not be seeing all those values on the permission prompt if you've already approved them, but JFBConnect does look to be trying to request the birthday permission.

all the pics that i send exept 1 are in english.

i dont know what to say, it shouldnt be so complicated.

maybe i will give you the backend detayls and you will take a look instead all the time that we consume here for nothing.

Amit,
You can gladly send us credentials. However, without understanding the issue, there's only so much we can do. I only asked what the one picture that wasn't in English asked. I understood the other pictures just fine. None of them explain the other questions I asked about *how* you are testing, *what* data is or isn't importing (since the problem seems to have changed), etc.

I'm sorry for asking so many questions, but when you pick and choose which questions to answer, it only makes things more confusing.

Please, please go through each question I asked above and provide an answer. Without that, even with credentials, there's only so much we can do. Ultimately, since we can't test the import functionality, you'll need to explain the exact problems you're running into and how your testing (as we've asked a few times).

Hi,

when i change to automatic everything works fine, i am getting the birthday and getting current city :)

for some reason i am not getting the pop up of the permmission (user_location & user_birthday) what should i have to check?

so, after we will solve the popup for the permission i will resubmit to facebook hopefully that they will approved it.

I'm glad to hear it sounds like things are working with automatic registration.

For not getting the permissions, please read my post from above . That sounds like it may be correct as you're probably already granted the permissions. To reset the permissions, you need to go into your Facebook.com -> Account Settings area and delete the application from your site. That will make you have to re-approve permissions the next time you authenticate.

Of course, please test and verify a few times before you submit to Facebook.

Can you let me know exactly what you submitted this time so that we can review? I'm unsure why it would have been denied, but we'll have to make it even more clear that the Facebook Page is not being used. We haven't heard of these issues from any other users, but will keep trying to help you submit it however many times are necessary.

dear sir, i know that this is the 2rd time and i am sorry for that, my english isnt so good and i am trying to make everything as you want, i hope that now its ok:

1. login with facebook (there is the facebook sign) to XXXXXX.co.il web site.
2. accept the user_location and user_birthday permission.
3. connect to the web site.
4. after login the user will be direct to his profile and he can see all his / her data such a name, location, birthday and he can change it or hide it if he / her wants to do it.

I really don't know why they aren't submitting it or reading your comments. My only suggestions to the above are to add your actual website address to the "How did you test this?" question, like:

"I test it with the test user "Dave Amibgafhhegc Qinstein" and i sign in to <YOUR SITE URL HERE> with facebook login, then i provided the test user and password XXXX and then i was promote to accept permission for user location and user birtday, after i approved it, i checked that i imported the city and i saw that it is ok and i got the city."


There's nothing else I can think of that would fix this problem. For some reason, you're not getting an approver who is reading your messages and I don't know what can be done about that. If they deny it again, my next step would be to suggest submitting a bug report stating that the Facebook Page shouldn't be a requirement to approve additional permissions. You can submit a bug on this page:
