After configuring my Twitter account with the API keys (consumer/secret/etc.) All I receive is the following in my module: "oEmbed doesnt support type." Now what?

In general, you will receive that error if you have configured the module parameter for URL/Status ID incorrectly. The Embedded Tweets widget is intended for a single tweet or conversation, not an entire Twitter stream, so make sure you are using the correct URL. The following would be a good example of a status URL: Invalid consumer key/secret in configuration

Can you take a screenshot or let me know the parameters you have configured for your module?

Really? A single Tweet? What end user wants a single tweet on their website? This Component is really not turning out to be what it's advertises itself to be... I think I'll be getting a refund. Thanks Mel, for your reply.

Yes, the module is intended to embed a single tweet or conversation. If you do want to show the whole Twitter stream, we do have that functionality as well through our Social Channels features, but the module you're using is not the correct one for that.

To show the entire stream, first, you will need to create a channel in the backend for the Twitter Stream and then configure the SCSocialWidget module to display the channel contents. For more detailed guidelines, please visit these two links:
Creating the channel - www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/post...reate-social-channel
Displaying the Channel stream - www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/posting/social-streams

Sorry for the confusion. I didn't realize that you weren't aware of the channels feature that we offer. Let me know if you have problems configuring the streams.

Thanks for all your help Melissa, unfortunately I don't think this component is what I though it was. I purchased it on the basis of 98 percent of people found it 'easy'. I respectfully disagree. I can't create a channel, b/c I don't have a user, and I can't create a user b/c there's no where to do this in JFBConnect and I don't want end users signing up on our website. It's just one thing after another.

All I wanted is a feed to display our latest Twitter/Facebook account items, nothing fancy, just something that works that was real quick and easy. I don't have time to read a novel on how to use this component.

Thanks again.

Clayton,

Your refund was just processed and you should receive an email regarding the same.

We will definitely take your feedback into consideration. Our channels feature is relatively new and is a little rough around the edges in some cases. We're always looking for ways to improve our software and, hopefully, can fix this for future use.

Thanks
-Melissa
