Problems with SClogin was created by none
Hi,

I have few problems with SClogin.

1. When an user tries to register on the site by facebook the website goes plank in the middle of the facebook process.
This is the url where the registration process stuck:
index.php?option=com_jfbconnect&task=authenticate.login&provider=facebook&return=L2luZGV4LnBocD9sYW5nPWVu&7e5a48836340a77444cc833f53979dc2=1&lang=en

After refreshing the page the website load in and I get a message: "Facebook profile connected"

But after Im trying to check the Community Builder profile of the user I get the following messages:
Error
This user has not yet confirmed his email address and account!
This user has not yet been approved by a moderator!

I checked. The user has been created in Joomla user manager but not in CB. This is why I get this messgage. The question is why the user's data has not been transferred to CB user data?

2. Even though I set SClogin to Joomla registration (not CB) Im always redirected to CB registration. Something overrides the Joomla registration page to CB redirection. Im not sure if this is SClogin issue but I checked all of my settings and I dont quite understand why I end up on CB registration page.

3. As the newly registered user's data is not transferred to CB the social network import data also not imported to CB fields. Only way to allow the member is to press on CB user sync in Tools menu of CB. Are these issues JFBconnect related or not? Or does it have anything to do with new CB 2.0?

After sync the users in CB Tools menu the user will be transferred to CB user manager but the social data is not.
I haven't experienced this issue before because the facebook user has always been connected to an excising Joomla user.

Alex I sent you access to my site in a PM before if you want to have a look.

Thanks

Something is definitely going on. Now I tried Akeeba Subscription's registration form and users have also not been transferred into CB user manager just Joomla.
It seems to me that users get transferred from Joomla user manager to CB user manager if they previously used the CB registration form. Users are not getting into CB user manager by using a third party registration workflow. such as JFBconnect social login/registration or Akeeba Subscription.
Is this a bug in JFBconnect or CB 2.0 or CB just have changed something in this new 2.0 release?

1. When an user tries to register on the site by facebook the website goes plank in the middle of the facebook process.
This is the url where the registration process stuck.

If you're seeing a white page, please go to the Joomla Global Configuration area and set "Error Reporting" to "Maximum". That should show the error that's causing problems during the registration process. Let us know that and we'll help however we can.

2. Even though I set SClogin to Joomla registration (not CB) Im always redirected to CB registration. Something overrides the Joomla registration page to CB redirection. Im not sure if this is SClogin issue but I checked all of my settings and I dont quite understand why I end up on CB registration page.

Yup, CB 2.0 seems to hijack both the registration *and* login pages always now. You should contact them if you don't like that behavior, which is pretty annoying in our opinion.

3. As the newly registered user's data is not transferred to CB the social network import data also not imported to CB fields. Only way to allow the member is to press on CB user sync in Tools menu of CB. Are these issues JFBconnect related or not? Or does it have anything to do with new CB 2.0?

The white page above is the cause of this. Some error is preventing the registration process from completing. We'll need to know that error. Some quick things you can try are:
* Don't map any fields in the profile area
* Disable the Avatar import
Test and see if that helps.. if so, then slowly re-enable those features to determine what field or if the avatar is causing the error.

Something is definitely going on. Now I tried Akeeba Subscription's registration form and users have also not been transferred into CB user manager just Joomla.

We don't have Akeeba Subs registration integration. I'm assuming you mean that Akeeba's integration with CB isn't working. If so, we can't help you there.. but you're correct that CB2.0 has changed things substantially. We've done some initial testing and things seem to work, but it's very possible things broke that we haven't found yet.

Just for clarity, everything did work with CB 1.x previously, right? The main change you've made recently is upgrading to CB 2.0, or were there other changes you made recently?

Thanks,
Alex

Alex. Would you try what I mentioned above? Try to register by facebook on a website where jfbconnect cant connect you to an already registered joomla user. So just try to register a completely new user on your test website and see if your user will be transferred into cb user manager. I just want to know if this issue occurs only on my site or on others as well.

Thanks

I just had a confirmation about this problem which by CB developer is not a problem.
www.joomlapolis.com/forum/147-potential-...red-each-time#250885

So that's why the users are not transferred into CB user manager. Alex, even if you make a workaround it would not help me because I must use subscription component, such as Akeeba Subscription which also has its registration form. It also must work. So I think for me CB is not the way to go with.
I tried Jomsocial which would work well but I have another issue with Jomsocial.

Ive read this here: www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/thir...ration-for-jomsocial

"Enable the Social Profiles - JomSocial plugin in the Joomla Plugin Manager"

I can't find such plugin to enable so I can;t even try to configure Jomsocial fields.

***UPDATE. I had to unpack the JFBconnect installer and install the joomsocial plugin separately because It wasn't installed before. Now it works ok.

The simplest solution would be for me to have a simple JFBconnect profile page instead of using another third party extension. Just to show an avatar, and import few fields from social pages requires me to use either CB or Jomsocial etc.. Another program installed which causes problems.

***UPDATE I tested the Social Registration via SClogin + Jomsocial and Akeeba Subscription + Jomsocial. All works flawlessly. No problem, and everything gets imported everywhere. I guess it is time for me to use something else instead of CB.

I have one extra question here. Can we add an extra feature to SClogin module?
I want to add a custom link to the "Registration" button. I just want to redirect the user to my membership page if they want to register on the site.
Something like this: "/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=8&Itemid=115"
Currently I can just pick one component.

As to the blank page while login by social network. I get the error message of:
Fatal error: Call to private method cbTabs::_initFieldToDefault() from context 'plgSocialProfilesCommunityBuilder' in /home/tolokapu/public_html/plugins/socialprofiles/communitybuilder/communitybuilder.php on line 219

I'm glad to hear the JomSocial registration flow is working for you. As to your other questions:
CB Registration
What Nick/nant mentions in the forums isn't really accurate. While CB wants you to go through their registration flow, it's not required. We've supported the CB registration flow from CB 1.2-1.9. We'll definitely be finding ways around their code to implement a proper registration flow in CB 2.0 as well, even if it's not a 'supported' method by them.

As to the blank page while login by social network. I get the error message of:

The error you mention is still coming from CB. It looks like they changed a method that we use during registration to make it inaccessible to us calling it, which is a bit annoying, obviously. However, if you're using JomSocial, you shouldn't have the CB plugin enabled as I'm assuming you're no longer using CB.

We'll add the issue above to our tracker, but it's not a critical priority right now as you're the only one reporting it.. and it seems like you can probably ignore it (by disabling the CB Social profile plugin).

If I'm wrong about anything above or you're still having any registration issues, just let me know. From what I can tell through your posts, and updates, is that you've found a configuration that's working for you.. hopefully I'm right :)

Thanks,
Alex
