Can I post photos with the social stream?

You can post a comment and JFBConnect will insert a link to the page. JFBConnect will also set Open Graph tags on every page of your site, which will set the title, description and image (and other details) about your page. Those tags are used to generate previews of the page, which will show in the stream. You can see examples of the comment followed by a preview (with an image from the page) if you scroll through the stream below.

Can I see the posted Photos on Facebook in the comments with the social stream on my website?

Right now, no. That's something that would actually be pretty easy to add, and is planned for a future release (as an option). We could help you do so now as well.

German Language in the Frontend?

Yes, german front-end language translations are included.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Right now, for FB Pages, no, posts from other users will not display. It will only show the original updates from an admin from the page. It's a 1-line code change to show any posts that have been made to your Facebook Page stream from all users, if you're interested in showing that instead. That will likely be an option in the future.

For Twitter, we show all posts that appear in your stream, which means replies and mentions as well. You can see those types of posts in our Social Stream below.

I hope that helps answer your questions,
Alex

I installed JFBConnect and followed the instructions.

The JFBConnect Remote Error Check says:
Test: Facebook Javascript library inclusion
Fail: Another Facebook extension is installed, including the Facebook Javascript library, and may conflict.

I really don`t know if that the Problem. I uninstalled previous Facebook-Tools and I have a Facebook-Button to the site (from Template).

Stream-Module is enabled.

Firebug show me only this:
<div class="sourcecoast socialwidget"></div>

Could you help me with this?

Regards, Martin

Martin,
The extra inclusion of the Facebook Javascript library is coming from the block of code that has a class of "yoo-zoo socialbuttons clearfix". That indicates its likely your template that's adding the extra inclusion of the Javascript and that should be disabled. How it is now, the Facebook Like button won't render because of the double inclusion of the code.

For the Social Stream, we're still working on the documentation for that new feature. The general method to setup a stream are:
1) Follow the Social Channel Creation documentation to create any social network feeds you want to display.
2) In the SCSocialStream, set the Channel Ids to whatever Channels you created in step #1 above that you want to show on your site.

I hope that helps get you started, but if you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Martin,
Can you explain more what you're asking for help with? I'm not sure from the above what issues you're running into or how we can help you.

Let me know what you need, and we'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

The Social Channel Creation guide is still what to follow. Basically, you want to:
1) Have the user authenticate on the site using their Facebook credentials
2) In the JFBConnect -> Channel area, setup a new Facebook -> Page channel. Select the user from step 1. He should be an administrator of the Facebook Page. He does not need to be an admin on your Joomla site or an admin of your Facebook App.
3) Once you setup the Channel, have the user authenticate again on the front-end using Facebook. An additional permission request will appear for "Manage your Pages". The user will have to accept this, which will allow your Facebook Application to read and post to those Pages.
4) In the JFBConnect -> Channel area, select the Page you want to integrate with.

Then, in the SCSocialStream module, you need to enter the ID of the social channel you created. This will likely be '1' if it's the first/only channel you created.

I hope that helps,
Alex
