Sorry for the delay. We've had one other report of a similar issue with JomSocial 3.2. We can't recreate it on any of our test sites though.

Would you be able to send me FTP credentials (or some other file access credentials) so we can get in and diagnose what could be going wrong? We'll need to modify some files so that we can output the error messages, and determine a solution.

Thanks,
Alex

I'm sorry for the delay. We had another user report this issue as well and we were able to FTP into their site to determine the cause. There's a small fix required to one of our files. You can find the full details of the issue and the fix in this forum post.

Please test that and let us know how it goes. It should fix the issue you're having, but if not, let us know, and we'll gladly help investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I just wanted to create a copy of our site and create an FTP account for you to check, but now I read your new reply with the possible fix.
Thanx for that, and I will implement the code change today and check it out!.
I will let you know if this fix did the trick.

Frits

No problem for the delay. We understand some users don't want to give us the 'keys to the kingdom', so to say. Hopefully, the fix in the other thread will work for you. We've heard from 2 other users on JomSocial 3.1 and 3.2 that it worked for them. If you're using JomSocial 3.0 (or earlier), this fix likely will not work. The fix was required to support the newer releases, but older one should have been working this whole time.

Either way, definitely keep me posted on how it goes and, if it doesn't work, let me know your version of JomSocial.

Thanks!
Alex

Hi Alex,

Unfortunally the fix did not do the trick:-(
After this I also created a private policy page, which is suggested.
We use Jomsocial version 3.1.0.1.
I really hope that you have some ideas how to proceed further.

Frits

Then we'll definitely need admin and FTP credentials for your site to investigate further. We've never heard of this issue, outside of the fix posted above, so I can't provide an immediate solution without being able to see your configuration and add some debug code.

Thanks,
Alex
