Michael,
If the pages are Joomla Content pages, please make sure you've enabled the Open Graph - Content plugin. That should try to set the best image for the page for Facebook to use.

If that doesn't help, please let me know a URL where we can see what's happening and we can gladly investigate further. Also, if it's not Joomla Content, let me know what component is being used on that page.

Thanks,
Alex

Sorry Alez,

but i have installed and enabled the open Graph content plugin. I dont see any parameter to selcet images of our Content in the backend
We are working with jommla 3.1.5 and JFB 5.1.1
What i will is that the correct pic was used from our content pages and for this i think is the best way to use the backend of jfb and get the content-plugin comments

in the attach you can see what i mean
File Attachment:

In your opengraph contend plugin and in the backend are not more config possobilitys for me to see.

It was fine if you can help me.

Best
Michael

Once you've enabled the Open Graph - Content plugin, it can take Facebook a few days to 'see' the updated tags we insert into the page.

You can use the Facebook URL Debug Tool to check a page immediately though, and that should point out any problems found as well.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Michael,
I didn't realize there was still an issue since I hadn't heard about this since your last post of "I think it's fixed now".

Can you let me know a page where the image isn't working properly on when it's Like'd? Also, have you run the Facebook URL Debug Tool on that page, and if so, were there any warnings or errors produced? Was the image pulled in properly in the Debug Tool?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

thx for your fast response.

The Page is here my page you can see in the contend of the categories fotoreise fotoworkshops etc.

It is under any joomla. The debugger say like this example:

Scrape Information
Response Code: 200
Fetched URL: www.fotoreise.info/index.php/fotoreisen-...-wintermaerchen-2014
Canonical URL: www.fotoreise.info/index.php/fotoreisen-...-wintermaerchen-2014
Errors That Must Be Fixed
Unbekannter Objekttyp: Object at URL 'www.fotoreise.info/index.php/fotoreisen-...-wintermaerchen-2014' is invalid because the configured 'og:type' of 'fotoreise:article' is invalid.

I dont no if we can fix it. i think it not a major bug

I hope you can help

We work with joomla 3.1.5

Hm in other Pages with the same Plugin he looks fine in Debug. Without Errors but he will use the picture of the pdf not the picture in the top of the page.

He give me the error for the wrong pic look here:

Meta with name instead of property:The meta tag on the page was specified with name 'author', which matches a configured property of this object type. It will be ignored unless specified with the meta property attribute instead of the meta name attribute.
og:image should be larger: Provided og:image is not big enough. Please use an image that's at least 200x200 px.
!!!!!!!!!!!! Image 'www.fotoreise.info/images/headers/IMGP00...ht-ueber-Tromsoe.jpg' will be used instead.!!!!!!!!!!! this is wrong too it is the pic in the header not in the content

Michael,
For the og:type error, it seems like you've created an Open Graph Object in the JFBConnect area and assigned it to the category you linked to above. In the object settings you need to check the "FB Built-In Object" setting if you are using the 'article' type. That should fix those messages.

For the pages using the PDF icon, can you tell me more about those pages:
* Are those Joomla articles?
* Where is the image being set? Is the image in the article text, is it set as the 'image' parameter in the right sidebar, or are you using something else to add the image to those pages?

If you still can't get it, and would like us to look into it further on your server, please Private Message us some admin credentials. You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my picture.

Thanks,
Alex
