Worked like a charm! Good explanation as well. This is a great example of what happens when a person doesn't understand the language. I get pieces parts and can see the relationships when someone spells it out for me, but to ''read'' it on my own... another story. Thanks again for your patience. It's appreciated.

Got my ''digs'' action approved. Ironically, FB upgraded the interface right in the middle of my submission process and that had me confused a bit. Well a little more than a bit.. LOL

A new a feature called ''Custom Collections" became available during this upgrade. Aggregations is still an option. Really not sure how the two differ, but I submitted a collection that was accepted. FB emailed to ask how I like the new feature. Guessing they pulled the first batch of applicants. Think it's a great concept but so far it's not being delivered to my timeline so I really can't evaluate..

By contrast, when I tested I was able to get my Diggers Delight 'Digs" box on the front page of mine and my test users timeline. It also showed after my "Digs" action was accepted but before the collection. Since the collection approval there has been nothing. Even if a box was not delivered to the front page of the timeline, prior to this ''custom collections'' I could count on my "Digs" at least being displayed on the app tab in my profile. Since acceptance, not. Will be interesting to see where this all goes. I'm just happy I've got people ''digging'' pages. LOL

Lisa,
Very happy to hear your actions are getting approved. It's exciting for us to hear about our user's pretty cool uses of Open Graph stuff, so glad we could help you along the way to learn what you were doing.

Collections are the replacement for 'Aggregations'. They just announced this around when you were submitting, so not surprised you got a taste of both. For more information, see:
developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2013/0...er-part-of-timeline/

We're still investigating them a little, though it doesn't look like there's anything we specifically need to enable for them, outside of the Open Graph Actions we already help implement.

As for why it's not showing after you got your collection... well, I'm honestly not sure. That blog post may help as it discusses an overhaul to the Timeline in general. It's possible the collections don't show in the 'old' Timeline view, in case your profile hasn't been updated yet (they are updated on a rolling basis over a few weeks). Don't know enough about collections yet to have other guesses. If you figure anything out, or it just starts working, please let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

I think you're likely right about the old Timeline view.

Couple things interesting:
1. My Timeline last week had parts of the new Timeline layout, like the replacement bar under the cover photo for friend, photos, etc., but not the timeline upgrade on the wall itself. When that partial transition was displaying I saw no collections.

2. In the last few days it's reverted back to 100% old layout including those icons under the cover. Right now, I see "Pages I Dig" an aggregate, not collection. The collection originally submitted as "pages I dig" was rejected needing the pronoun removed. The approved collection I have yet to see display is "digs"

3. My App interface still includes my Aggregation, however it does not offer a ''create new'' button underneath. Maybe when Timeline roll out is complete that will go away.

Regardless, it's got me excited to get this plant catalog going. That is when collections are going to start to make some useful sense on the site. We'll have things like ''favorite shade plants'', etc. as collections. I'm going to be using yootheme's zoo. Thought I saw on another thread another person integrating jfbconnect open graph action/objects into zoo.

Yeah, sounds like teething and transition issues with the collections.. which is somewhat standard procedure for some of the new features as they roll out. Nothing to worry about, just be patient with.

Oh Zoo.. ugh. Yeah, it's planned. I really don't know Zoo well enough, but we'll definitely be doing an Open Graph - Zoo plugin 'soon'. I can't state just when as we have a huge amount on our plate right now, but it's definitely planned as there's a lot of requests for it and we think it would be sweet to have that integration as well :)

As always, best of luck, and keep in touch if you need anything else, implement anything cool, or have any feedback for us!

Thanks,
Alex

Hahahaa... listen to you on that zoo ugh. Understood. The way I'm going by the time I push myself onto the other side of the bell curve with zoo you'll likely already have a solution. Take mine as a gentle request. No hurry over here. Totally understand the plate overflowing situation. Got mine spilling into buckets stuck under the table if you know what I mean. Thanks so much for your help. This is fun stuff even if it's a bumpy learning curve for this newbie.

Lisa,
Glad you're enjoying it. Websites are a difficult road, but hopefully rewarding in the long run :)

Best of luck to you, and definitely keep us posted as things progress. We'll send out a newsletter, blog post, and probably shout from the hilltops every way we can when a Zoo plugin is available.. so you'll know.

Thanks,
Alex
