If you haven't already seen it, please check out our Facebook Request Configuration guide . The configuration is how you setup what the request will show up as when a user sends it to a friend. Once it's setup, there are multiple ways to include the request button on your site, which you can find in our Facebook Request Inclusion guide .

There are some important notes to be aware of though when setting up Facebook Requests:
* Your Facebook Application must be in the Games category. Facebook restricts requests to only games now.
* Your website must have an SSL certificate configured.
* We don't have a way to automatically replace invitation features in other extensions. You'll need to use the module or Easy-Tag to add a link for inviting your friends on whatever page you want it to show on.

The Invitation/Request feature has not been actively developed on our end for quite some time. While it still works, Facebook has constantly been reducing and restricting the features available to be used.. things like the Game category, restrictions on detecting if a user followed an invite and who can be invited/sent requests has diminished the total usefulness of their request feature.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex

Thank you for the response.

Reading the instructions provided, I can see, i am able to use - JFBCRequest Module. But, no such module is on my site, I have already paid for JFBConnect for Joomla and installed it..

Where can i get JFBCRequest Module.

Your correct, that documentation refers to the older module name. Please create a new instance of the SCSocialWidget module. In the parameters for that module, you can configure it to show Facebook -> Requests and you'll see the parameters necessary to setup the request link.

I hope that helps,
Alex

This does not work, and makes no sense..

What i need is to be able to allow a users to invite their facebook friends, which connects to facebook, then they select, friends list, then it sends them a messenger invite link with a message to join my site.. your code and instructions make no sense.

I only bought your software for this specific task.. EasySocial already has facebook login.. So, i dont need to pay you for that features..

Can you please provide clear instructions on how to replace EasySocial Invite Friends with your Facebook invite code? Otherwise, maybe i request a refund, As i found other extensions that may work..

btw, StackIdeas have provided code to hide Invite Friends here - stackideas.com/forums/jfbconnect-faceboo...-invite-friends-link

Thank you

Can you please let us know what steps you've taken and where you're running into issues? Specifically:
* Have you setup the Request in the JFBConnect Admin -> Requests area?
* Have you tried the {JFBCRequest ..} tag? Either of the following variants should work:
{JFBCRequest request_id=1 link_image=http://www.sourcecoast.com/images/jfbconnect/home_jfbconn.png}
{SCFacebookRequest request_id=1 link_image=http://www.sourcecoast.com/templates/sourcecoast/images/logo.png}
The request_id=XX must match the ID of what you setup in the Requests area.
* Have you tried the SCSocialWidget module to setup the Facebook -> Requests widget? This is the same as the Request tag, but an alternative option to show the request feature.

Please let us know what you've done and where things aren't working as you'd expect.. and how. Once we understand where you're getting stuck, we should be able to help get you going.

Thanks,
Melissa
