I am brand new to jfb connect and I am not a coder at all. Please bare with me. I am trying to configure jfb connect to do these things.
1. import user info from facebook for login and registration.
2. Pull user status's from the users facebook timeline into their stream and push status's from my site to there FB timeline.
posts, interests, etc

I have begun working with the Facebook app to add the various permissions needed but I really don't understand everything involved.
I know one thing they want: A member of our review team will test how your app uses user_posts. Please give them detailed step-by-step instructions for how to see this permission the same way people using your app would. But I have no idea how to go about that.

I watch the video one the tutorials page that showed the user registration form after licking the login with Facebook button. All i get is a box that pops up and then quickly disappears...

Whatever instruction you can give will be greatly appreciated. Please bare in mind I'm very new to all of this.

We understand how things can be confusing. We've tried to make the admin area as straightforward as possible, but there are a lot of moving parts :)

For importing data into a user's JomSocial profile, here's the general steps:
* Create a Facebook application per our Facebook Application Setup Guide
* Enable the Social Profiles - JomSocial plugin - This is what allows for profile import into JomSocial
* In the JFBConnect admin area, go to the Profiles tab and setup how you want fields to import from Facebook into the fields in JomSocial
* Enable the SCLogin module and/or enable the JFBConnect integration in JomSocial to show our social login buttons on their login/register pages

At that point, when an admin of your Facebook app logs in, their profile should be imported. JFBConnect will automatically request the correct Facebook permissions from that user.

To get any extended profile data from 'normal' (non-admin) users, you need to go through the review process for those permissions. Facebook should show you the permissions you've asked for in the past which helps guide you as to which ones you submit.. you don't need to go through the lists upon lists of permissions, JFBConnect automatically uses them as necessary. To submit for review, use their format and instructions. You will need a pictures of your login page, etc but it's a pretty straightforward process.

I hope that helps, but if you need more details, please let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

Glad we could help explain. There are definitely a lot of moving parts in JFBConnect. We try to make it as easy to setup and configure as possible, with a lot of documentation, but there's always room for improvement.

If you need anything else, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
