Topic-icon Unable to get Instagram login to work

Hi

I am using EasySocial and integrating JFBConnect with this to manage user registration. I've created an Instagram app for users to register on my site, and have checked the configuration against the documentation and i am unable to resolve this.

The sandbox user set-up gets the following error message, after clicking on the Instagram icon button, logging in with the correct instagram login credentials in the Instagram dialogue that appears and agreeing to use the account details for this purpose (signing in to my site):

WARNING
We were unable to retrieve your Instagram account information. Please try again.

Repeated attempts to login with the instagram option only generate the same error. What is causing this and how do i resolve it?

That error generally means that something is not right with your Instagram app setup or the keys you entered into JFBConnect are incorrect. Please double-check that you've gone through every step of our Instagram application setup guide .

Beyond that, please set the "Enable Error Reporting" option in JFBConnect to 'Yes'. That may show additional error messages which will help narrow down the problem.

Thanks Alex. It may have been a caching issue, as the problem went away of its own accord. I was able to submit the request for my use of Instagram to register and login to my site ok and this has been approved. All seems to work ok now.
