Hello,

When my users login with LinkedIn, they are taken to the authorization screen but then when they are sent back to my site, this link is shown in the URL vghl.myvirtualgaming.com/#! and they are not logged in. My Tw, FB and IG all work fine.

I think that the addition of the /#! is what is causing the issue. Any idea what may be wrong?

Thanks,

I attempted to create a user on your site with my LinkedIn credentials. I was able to do that and was logged in with the user (you can see the username meland on your site). So the login mechanism is working correctly. Now it seems that you just need to set the options in the JFBConnect > Configuration > General area for the New User Redirection and Returning User Redirection settings. If you set those options, you should be redirected to your desired pages after login. If you have already set those, please let us know.

Hi,

Thank you for your response. I have redirect set to "same page" and only receive this error when logging in with linked in.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

In your LinkedIn application at developer.linkedin.com/ what are the values for your "Authorized Redirect URLs" setting? We need to make sure that they are in the format found in our LinkedIn application setup guide

Since Melissa was able to login with LinkedIn, and from what you describe above, your LinkedIn Application is likely setup right.

Can you try the following:
* From a different browser
* From a different computer
* From a different LinkedIn Account

Also, if you have a 3rd party SEF extension enabled on your site, try disabling that (temporarily) to see if that allows you to login.

If we find a method that works and others that don't, it really helps narrow down where the problem lies.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello,

I have had a new user go through the flow on a new browser and here are the results for the LinkedIn process.

1. First time click of linkedin went to sign up page
2. Sign up process allowed user to register and then be taken to home page as "logged in" displaying vghl.myvirtualgaming.com/#!
3. User logged out and when attempting to log back in with linked in, the linked in login module appeared and the user was taken to vghl.myvirtualgaming.com/#! but not logged in to the site
4. I have not installed any 3rd party SEF extensions

As mentioned earlier, this only occurs for LinkedIn sign in.

Thanks

I do see the problem when trying to log back into the site. I'm able to register, but after that, logins fail.

Can you check the following:
* You have the JFBConnect Authentication and User plugins enabled
* Is my account (or any that you're having issues with) in the Joomla User Manager? If so, is the account activated and enabled?
* If you're using a 3rd party profile extension (Community Builder, JomSocial, EasySocial, etc), is the same account in that extension's User Management area? If so, is the account fully enabled (every profile extension is different, so I can't ask specific questions here)
* If you set the "Enable Debug Mode" option to "Yes", do you see any error messages when you try to authenticate with LinkedIn?

Let us know if any of the above helps narrow things down and we'll gladly help investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex
