You only need to submit your app for review if you're requesting additional permissions from the user. For the basic name & email address and allowing users to authenticate, you don't need to submit for review. If you have enabled any of the social profile plugins and are importing additional data, you may need to go through the review process so that you can get those details from your user. You can go through the review process at any time, whether your site is live or not.Re Facebook setup
Facebook requests, "Submit for Review"
Does the site have to be live before I may Submit for Login Review?
Its still in development for a few weeks more and behind a firewall.
Will the Facebook details expire?
Do I need to wait till website is live before submitting for review?
I don't clearly understand this or what to do next.
Please see step 15 of our Facebook setup guide .Re: Web OAuth Flow or Specify a Redirect Whitelist.
Top of page facebook for developers (advanced) has red exclamation triangle & notice:
"Client OAuth login is enabled but you haven't listed any valid OAuth redirect URIs. Click here for more information."
How is this done? Would you provide a simple description for a first timer in this realm, please.
Not really quicksand, just a loop. Please see my post above about disabling Development mode. You can disable development mode at any time and still leave your site offline or behind a firewall. Turning off development mode just allows any user, not just the Facebook administrators for your app, to login to your site."App Not Setup: This app is still in development mode, and you don't have access to it. Switch to a registered test user or ask an app admin for permissions."
Google's management area 'looks' pretty, but is horrendous to administer and find things.. we'll agree, but can't do anything about it. With that said, I just went through the steps and was brought to the following screen after step 7.5:I went into G+ setup as per your page:https://www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/social-network-applications/google-application-setup
Everything was doable until I got to 7.6 and then their page appeared to not concur
That's a good plan. It's easy to get sidetracked, and our guides aren't always 100% up-to-date (the application processes change constantly), but it should just work.I think what I will do is start over and adhere strictly to your tutorial without looking at anything else.
Facebook should be the easiest. It's the most popular and our Autotune tool can setup a lot of settings but, frustratingly, Facebook doesn't allow some settings to be done automatically.I'll get Facebook working first.
