Hello again,

A related issue has surfaced in relation to this widget.

The comments are indented when one folllows a link from Facebook Notifications, which leaves very little space for the comments themselves and screws up my layout...

From Facebook: www.thailandstidende.com/component/k2/it...578080474#f3ae20bcc8

Regular link to the article: www.thailandstidende.com/component/k2/it...-prate-flytende-thai

Could you try turning the mobile setting off for the comments? It looks like the tag that we're inserting is the exact same, so unless that fixes it, it might be on Facebook's side. We haven't seen this issue before. We can help you file a bug report with them if so.

I changed Mobile to "No" in the SCSocial Widget settings (was that what you meant?), but no change. It's still set to "No" if you want to check.

Just investigated some more. Definitely looks like a Facebook issue. All I can recommend is submitting this as a bug to Facebook, which you can do here:
developers.facebook.com/bugs

You can post both links and the same description you added above. Just add this explanation to help them narrow things down quicker:

When the URL has ?fb_comment_id=XXX in it, the body tag of the comment area has the additional classes of "plugin _1e_f chrome webkit mac x2 Locale_nb_NO". Whenever there is no query string, the class is "plugin chrome webkit mac x2 Locale_nb_NO"
I'm not sure what the _1e_f style is meant for, but it sets the body's width to 60%, which is what is causing the shrink.

I hope that helps,
Alex

Thanks Alex, I submitted a bug report.

Once again, I have stopped receiving notifications about new comments. It worked for a while, but not now. I have made no changes to the system, so I don't know why this keeps happening...

Comments not notified:

I just tested some. When I create a comment, Facebook is properly calling the Javascript which should start our notification process. Our Javascript in the jfbconnect.js file is then calling the following URL:
http://www.thailandstidende.com/index.php?option=com_jfbconnect&task=social.comment&type=create&href=http%253A%2F%2Fwww.thailandstidende.com%2Fcomponent%2Fk2%2Fitem%2F2885-mange-guider-jobber-uten-loyve&commentID=994173883988285_995127400559600&title=%E2%80%93%20Mange%20guider%20jobber%20uten%20l%C3%B8yve%20-%20Thailands%20Tidende
For some reason, that URL is returning a 404 error. That's a valid URL that should be executing within our component. Do you have any SEF URL extensions or anything else that could be altering the behavior of the above URL to prevent it from working properly?

Let us know any details you can about your URL structure or other extensions that may alter or intercept URL requests as it seems like something is just not acting how it should on your site.

Thanks,
Alex
