Hi,

I am really digging jfb connect but am having some issues.

I cannot get the twitter or linkedin social channel to publish. There are no options for Channel owner. (see img 1)

In the top left corner of my site there is 'facebook-jssdk')); Where is this coming from? (www.atlantainternetdesign.com)

Are these red things part of JFB Connect? If so how can they be disabled? (see img 2)

Thanks for the help!

Glad that it seems you've resolved the issue on your own. Let us know if you run into any more problems you think are caused by JFBConnect.

We're going to blame Melissa's cold medicine for missing some of the other issues you mentioned.... :)

There were no images attached to your post. Can you go into the attachments area and make sure to click the green arrow next to the images you uploaded so they are inserted into the post and we can see them?

As for the facebook-sdk text on the page, does that go away if you disable the JFBCSystem plugin? We've never seen or heard of that issue. The offending code on your page is:
<!-- Google Tag Manager -->
<noscript><iframe src="//www.googletagmanager.com/ns.html?id=GTM-KRGNZR"
height="0" width="0" style="display:none;visibility:hidden"></iframe></noscript>
<script>(function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];w[l].push({'gtm.start':
new Date().getTime(),event:'http://myzone1.atlantainternetd.netdna-cdn.com/gtm.js'});var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],
j=d.createElement(s),dl=l!='dataLayer'?'&l='+l:'';j.async=true;j.src=
'//www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id='+i+dl;f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f);
})(window,document,'script','dataLayer','GTM-KRGNZR');</script>
<!-- End Google Tag Manager -->
'facebook-jssdk'));
</script>
<div id="s5_scrolltotop"></div>

<!-- Top Vertex Calls -->
Our code isn't directly above or below that, so I wouldn't immediately say JFBConnect is inserting that errant 'facebook-jssdk')); line.. but it's possible. Knowing if disabling our system plugin rids the problem will help determine the cause.

Once we can see the issues you're having with the channels feed, we'll gladly help more there as well.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I turned off every plugin, module etc. and the 'facebook-jssdk')); didn't go away. However, using the offending code you provided I just deleted that in the template head section and it disappeared. Probably an error on my part when adding code. I appreciate that help. Out of curiosity how were you able to identify that code. I know how to see page source and use firebug but am not aware of how to find that code as you did.

I've added the image about my problems with the twitter and linkedin channels

I know how to see page source and use firebug but am not aware of how to find that code as you did.

I just viewed the source of the page and searched for 'facebook-jssdk'. When I saw it was in a spot outside of a <script> tag, I knew that was the problem. No magic here :)

I cannot get the twitter or linkedin social channel to publish. There are no options for Channel owner. (see img 1)

In the image, I don't see an error message, but assuming it won't let you publish with something about not having a Channel Owner. If you click into the Channel, there should be an option to select the Channel Owner, where you select a user from your site that has authenticated with Twitter or LinkedIn. If that's not showing or working properly, please post an image of the channel configuration screen so we can understand what you see.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I've attached two screen shots of my linkedin and twitter config pages. One wierd thing (and it may help figure out what I am doing wrong) is that the program gave me an option for channel owner on facebook but there was no option on linkedin and twitter.

thanks again for the help

I deleted the images because they showed your app and secret keys, which shouldn't be shared. I was specifically asking what the Channel configuration looked like.

Either way, the main question is whether you have authenticated with a LinkedIn or Twitter user on your site? When you are in the Channel configuration section for the LinkedIn or Twitter channel, you should see a Channel Owner input. When you click it, it will list any users that have authenticated using that social network on your site. Choose the admin or whatever user owns the twitter feed or linkedin company profile you want to post from and follow the steps from there.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

My problem is when I try to choose a channel owner there are none to chose from. How do I authenticate a user? As you saw, I have an active linkedin and twitter account.

thank you
