* You don't have to use the SCLogin module at all. You can add the social login buttons to any area of your site simply by adding the {JFBCLogin} tag. There are multiple configuration parameters you can use to set the image to use or social network providers to show in that tag.
* For the "Logout" view you show, you could choose to only show the SCLogin module to guests. Then, when they are logged in, the Logout and User menu will not show
* In the SCLogin module, you can disable the User Menu and "Connect Account" buttons so that all that is shown is a logout button.
It's really your choice on how you want things to display. Hopefully, that gives you some ideas, but if you have any questions on how to do something, please describe exactly how you'd like things to work and we'll try to help you implement it.
Thanks,
Alex
That's not the way Joomla or SCLogin module works. What I think you may want to do is create a new menu and add all the Registered items you want to show there (they can be aliases to the origin in the main menu or they can be the originals). Then, have the SCLogin module show this new menu instead of the overall main menu.I would like to use the native / stock Joomla 'mainmenu' for all my public level pages but for all pages that are 'registered' access level or higher for e.g. for the SCLogin/JFBConnect user menu to show these only.
Yes! When you create that new menu, you can create a new menu item as described in our SCLogin Common Support Questions area under "How can I add direct links to Logout in the user menu?"2) Regarding the logout side of things as far as I'm concerned, it's the real estate that it's taking up when logged in and I'd rather just keep the logged in user menu if anything. Is it possible to put the logout green button that it is currently, in to a menu item with how SCoast have it, within your own sites 'My Account' section in the top right side?
In the same Common Support Q's area, see the "How can I add social network 'Connect' buttons in the user menu?" question.3) You also have the 'Connect to' social network accounts that users can link their account to, in a drop down on your own site - This is what I am wanting to achieve whereby I utilise the user menu drop down but as mentioned above, I only want registered access content in here or what I put in there, not every menu item that it currently is placing in there. Then I want the same with the connect to feature of your component, where as at present it is just in my templates 'fixedside' position
That sounds like you have a Menu Module configured to show in that sidebard. Disable or delete the *module*, but leave the menu in the Menu Manager.It's showing in two areas of my fixedside, when these items should only be showing within the sclogin dropdown user menu;
In the "Logout View Settings" area of the SCLogin module, there's a "Show Logout" option.. set that to HideI want to totally get rid of (1) showing in the screenshot and only have (2) one that shows in the screenshot and is exactly as you guys have yours.
Try this:Incidentally the wording 'Connect To:' doesn't show up in my logged in user menu as you can see in the above first screenshot, as I presume it's white... any chance you could share where I would make this change, to a different colour, so it does show.
.sclogin li.connect {
color: black;
}
Try:Lastly, when I hover over the 'My Account Menu' button, it opens the menu directly below and over the mainmenu, how would I get it to render the myaccountmenu to the right of the button itself, thus not obscuring the main menu at the sametime?
.sclogin ul.dropdown-menu {
margin-left: 50px;
}

I actually found that option purely by chance not long after I'd posted haha, thanks for confirming this though - just in case I hadn't found it.

As it happens, after I'd posted the last reply above - I setup my files and site to work from a template / theme override for SCLogin. Then I took both the stock sclogin css files content, merged them in to the one new html/themes/ file and then added the above css and VOILA, thank you so much.
Try:Lastly, when I hover over the 'My Account Menu' button, it opens the menu directly below and over the mainmenu, how would I get it to render the myaccountmenu to the right of the button itself, thus not obscuring the main menu at the sametime?
Again, due to setting up the theme override css file, I was able to take what you have kindly said to try and took it further until I got what feels right for my site, so again thank you heaps..sclogin ul.dropdown-menu { margin-left: 50px; }
Let us know how that goes!

Hi There,
It's been a steep learning curve getting the hang of this whole Gantry5 and new way of RT theme's doing things, but digging it entirely.
However, whilst I've managed to resolve all my outstanding SCLogin/JFBConnect module style issues with their developer, I have one problem I would like some advice on from RT people, please;
There's various 'template themes', such as coming soon, default, home and error etc but I'm having an issue getting the wider used CSS and other settings to take shape within my error pages;
I'm leaving you two URL's the first is the way I've been working to get my fixedside menu and the modules etc within and is just fine...
The second URL is how the same renders in the 'error' theme settings / layout when an erroneous URL is entered. I've attempted to look through all settings, pages, layouts in one's I'm happy with, like default or home but it's making no difference.
(this is fine and just how I want the login and register module etc)
(a slightly erroneous URL then makes the same login and register module not take on the above first URL's CSS / Styling)
I must be missing something, to get the exact same CSS for this particular module to work on the error pages too grrrr.
I'm hoping you can take a look and help point me to what I'm clearly missing please.
I look forward to hearing from you in due course.
Regards,
What issue are you having that you posted to RocketTheme? I'm not sure I see much else having issues.Finally, I've just posted this on RocketTheme my theme provider but feel I should place it here too as I have a feeling they will say in the main, it's the 3rd party module issue not the template (who knows right now)
