  • Social Buttons not showing up
I have installed the JFBConnect component.

I am using the EasyTags and the SCSocial Connect Module to display the social buttons.
But certain buttons do not show up at all in Firefox and IE. The width of the buttons is set to 0 and I cannot seem to modify them using the configuration provided in the component.

The modules are used in the social icons menu on the top right corner.

Can you please help me in identifying the cause of the problem and correcting it?

Looking at those popups, the only buttons that aren't showing for me are the LinkedIn ones. When I load your page, the following error is shown in the Javascript console of the browser:

Uncaught Error: You must specify a valid JavaScript API Domain as part of this key's configuration.

Please make sure you've fully followed our LinkedIn for Joomla application setup guide or remove the LinkedIn API / Secret key altogether if you're not using LinkedIn authentication.

I hope that helps, but if not, please let us know what specific buttons are missing or any other details about the issue that you can share.

    Thanks,
    Alex

1)Got the LinkedIn plugin. Removed the LinkedIn API key and Secret key from LinkedIn configuration and it appeared. But isn't the API key and secret key necessary for linking my LinkedIn page to my website? Because I am using "Company Profile" plugin in my site.

2)The Twitter plugin is not displaying in Firefox and Internet Explorer.

The API key is necessary for some features, but it isn't required for the standard share button. If you want to use it, please make sure you've setup the API key properly by following our LinkedIn App Configuration guide, linked above. Specifically, the Javascript API Domain setting section.

2)The Twitter plugin is not displaying in Firefox and Internet Explorer.

I'm unsure why it's not working in Firefox or IE. I see the Embedded Tweet widget showing just fine, but the others aren't showing for some reason. It looks like it may be a template issue or a conflict with whatever that popup module area you're using is. Can you try to include the Twitter widget that isn't working outside of the module popup? That will help to narrow down where the issue lies. If it still doesn't work when in the main body content of the page, please leave it there so we can investigate further.

    Thanks,
    Alex

1)I followed the guide for LinkedIn setup but the company profile plugin doesn't show the company page . You can check it in the top right corner under the popup in this link: isdfrf.oswebware.com/

Have set the company ID from the URL of the company page in LinkedIn and display mode:Icon/Name. Have added the API key and the secret key in the "configuration" tab in JFBConnect. Can you assist me in displaying the company profile page in the popup menu.

2)And the Twitter plugin and LinkedIn doesn't display in the popup in IE and Firefox but displays in other positions in the website. Can you help me in identifying where the issue lies?

We looked, but I'm unsure why the buttons aren't showing in the template. There is a large amount of Javascript and CSS being used to create that popup. You'd need to contact the template or module provider for that popup to determine where the conflict is because we simply are unfamiliar with the code and how it interacts with other popups/iframes like are used by the social network sharing features you're trying to include. As you noted, they are working, just not in that popup.

1)I followed the guide for LinkedIn setup but the company profile plugin doesn't show the company page . You can check it in the top right corner under the popup in this link: isdfrf.oswebware.com/

This looks to be similar to #1 above. Is this button working outside of the popup? When we try, it seems like the popup that is supposed to display is being shoved way off the screen. I'm unsure what style or Javascript is causing that and wouldn't know where to look. If it is working outside of the popup, I'd have to suggest to again contact the module or template provider for assistance if it's necessary to display those widgets in the popup.

Sorry we can't be of more assistance. Every template is very different, so it's impossible to fully understand the underlying Javascript and CSS of each one.

    Thanks,
    Alex

I tried given the Company Profile LinkedIn plugin outside the pop-up .But it does't show the company profile.I get the following in my Console.

Refused to display 'www.linkedin.com/cws/company/profile?com...ts=1439387862073.437' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'sameorigin'.

And the LinkedIn follow plugin also displays the same message in Console:
Refused to display 'www.linkedin.com/cws/followcompany?compa...s=1439385117285.4097' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'sameorigin'.

    Could you offer any assistance?

I just tested on your site and now I'm seeing the below in Chrome:
    File Attachment:

Are you seeing similar behavior? Did you change anything? I'm not seeing any error in the console. If you're still seeing an issue, can you let put it standalone on a page and let me know the page so we can test there outside of the popup? That's the easier way to diagnose things.

    Thanks,
    Alex
