We're working on the changelog and blog post. The first should be done soon. The blog post later this week or weekend.
6.4 wasn't as large an update as previous big releases of JFBConnect. If you're running 6.3.0 or 6.3.1, you shouldn't run into any issues upgrading. The main changes in this release are:
* Updates to LinkedIn authentication and profile import to conform with their recent API update on May 12th. They announced it a long time ago, but had no way to test our changes. Some things we assumed weren't spot on, so a few sites were (before 6.4) having issues with LinkedIn authentication.
* Updates to the Facebook social widgets to conform with their updates in mid-April that will go into effect in late June. The updates include:
** The addition of the new Page module
** Automatically rendering the Page module if you were using the old (now deprecated) Like Box. This prevents any hiccups with the transition, though we recommend using the Page widget going forward
** Removal of some Facebook widgets no longer supported
** Update to the Facebook Comments box to use the newer version, which fixes some mobile view issues
There's more (look for the changelog in about 20 minutes). We debated calling it 6.3.1, but with the amount of new features (widgets) and not just bug-fixes, we wanted to bump the release. It's also easier to say that we're fully compatible with the LinkedIn updates as of 6.4 instead of a specific point-release.
I hope that helps explain,
Alex
