Hi,

I need help configuring the social stream. I read that I needed to add a Facebook user in the chanel settings but they say that the user does not have the management page rights... I linked the facebook account whith the super admin account. I created the facebook app in the developer page but I don't know where to find the right page to display. I just want to have the same social stream you have on the bottom of your website. I'm completely lost...

Thank you for your time.

Once you go to the Channels area in JFBConnect and create the Facebook Page, you need to authenticate on the front-end with the user you selected so that the 'manage_pages' permission so that JFBConnect can fetch the feed from the Page.

After the Channel is setup, you should be able to see a preview of the feed at the bottom of the Channel area.

If that preview works, you can setup the SCSocialStream module to show that feed on your front-end.

For more information on configuring the Social Stream module, or Channels in general, see our guide below:

I hope that helps,
Alex

I don't know how to make my facebook app with the manage_pages permission. I don't understand how I am suppose to link a front-end connection with an existing user. I linked once but I don't know how to unlink them.
I tried to install a tweet share button with a sc module but I don't know wich URL to put in the settings as it changes all the time (news). Can you help ?

I don't understand how I am suppose to link a front-end connection with an existing user.

Once you've created the Channel in the admin area and set the User for that Channel, then JFBConnect should automatically request the manage_pages permission on the next login. You shouldn't need to do anything else other than authenticating on the front end with that user.

I linked once but I don't know how to unlink them.

I'm not sure what you mean here. If you want to break the connection between a Joomla user and their social network account, you can do so from the JFBConnect -> Usermap admin area.

I tried to install a tweet share button with a sc module but I don't know wich URL to put in the settings as it changes all the time (news). Can you help ?

I'm not sure what you mean by this. Can you explain more about what you're trying to do?

Thanks,
Alex
