Topic-icon Facebook API 2.0 Rollout Now Happening - JFBConnect 6.1+ SSL Error

I have JFBConnect updated a while ago to be prepared for the Facebook API 2.0 rollout. This evening it appears the rollout has begun which was scheduled for Friday, May 1.

The error I received on all 3 of my websites using JFBConnect was a SSL Certificate issue. I went into JFBConnect configuration and clicked YES for Disable SSL Certification Validation and all websites are now able to log into Facebook as normal.

I get this error on sites that do not even have SSL.

Is this all we have to do or is there something else we will need to do / update from you?

Version 6.2.4

The SSL issue is unrelated to the Graph API v2.0 upgrade. Facebook just posted a platform status update about this:
developers.facebook.com/status/issues/1653352648231195/

The temporary fix is the setting you enabled above to disable the SSL check. After the bug is corrected on their end, you should be able to set that option back to 'No' for improved security.

We're monitoring things regarding this issue, and the Graph API v2.0 forced upgrade, closely and will keep you posted if anything else changes.

Thanks, and we hope to see you back as an active subscriber soon,
Alex

Hi - since yesterday ... when i trying to share an article to my facebook page - i get an error something like this...
404 Not Found
The requested URL /Блог-Елены-Субботовской-Психология-и-Коучинг/О-чем-говорят-с-психологом-Я-не-справляюсь.html was not found on this server.

no picture preload- no correct link ..... is it because of the upgrade which is going on ? should i change something in order to get it work ? or just wait ?

Please provide a specific URL where we can see this behavior.

Have you re-scraped the page on the Facebook Open Graph Debugger or our site socialdebug.com to see if the Image Preview looks correct?

Regardless of even looking at the debugger, I'm getting a 404 error trying to get to that page:

Not Found

The requested URL /Новости/Группа-Femen-устроила-демарш-в-Париже-из-за-Марин-Ле-Пен.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

We're glad to hear you got things going. Of course, if you run into any other issues, just let us know. It's what we're here for.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It's certainly not required, but very appreciate:

Thanks,
Alex
