At this point, being able to debug the code is necessary to determine the problem. There's really not another way to figure out why JFBConnect thinks that it is posting correctly without seeing all of information that Facebook comes back with and then looking at what JFBConnect does with that data.

We will have to add some debugging statements to do this and will take those out after identifying the problem. If we find something that requires a code fix in JFBConnect, the new code will be included in our next available version, not just left as a miscellaneous change on your site. I hope this explains why Alex is asking for FTP access.

Hello!
ok, if there is no other way to solve the problem, lets check the code.
Please specify what do you mean: "FTP access", I never faced that before. Should I give you access to the files on hosting?

I send access to FTP in private message to Alex. Please let me know if it is enough for you!

We are getting the following error back from Facebook when trying to post with the channel "Insufficient permission to post to target on behalf of the viewer"

Please login as your user on Facebook and go to the App Settings section. Open your application and make sure the 'App visibility and post audience' is NOT set to Only Me. Try Public or Friends.

Let us know if this helps.

Hello Melissa!
Done.
1. Now I can post with button "create post", it works! BUT the problem is that when my friend (who is registered on my site) post through "create post", it is shown in FB channel that this post was created by me, not my friend!
2. When I post with K2 from front-end (Добавить материал) it is posted only on site but not automatically in FB channel.

Thank you!

That's the intended behavior. A channel is a way for users to post to your Page 'as your page'. It's not something we'd recommend opening up to all users on your site and it's not meant as a way to post a comment to your page by anyone. It's mainly meant for your marketing team to be able to post to the Page easily with any content that should be there.

2. When I post with K2 from front-end (Добавить материал) it is posted only on site but not automatically in FB channel.

The Channels feature does not auto-post content. You can post any URL from your site to Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn, but you still need to navigate to the URL and manually create the post.

I hope that helps explain, but should you need anything else, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello!
1. How can I hide this option "create post" for registered users of the site? I really don't want everybody to post to my channel from "my page".
2. I really upset that JFBconnect doesn't not provide options to show all updates from the site in FB channel automatically. I don't know how to use this program for my website any more :(. And what about comments to articles on the site? Where are they shown on FB? I can't understand what is the connection between registered user of the website (via FB) and FB channel. What kind of options for activities in FB group site users have. Could you please explain me opportunities to use the program for my site and FB group and how can I link activities from the both resources. Sorry I can't find this information in description of the program. Thank you beforehand!

1. How can I hide this option "create post" for registered users of the site? I really don't want everybody to post to my channel from "my page".

By default, only Super Admins should see that bar. If other user groups are seeing it, please go to the "Options" button in JFBConnect and set the permission for "Create Posts" (or something like that) to "Super Admin".

2. I really upset that JFBconnect doesn't not provide options to show all updates from the site in FB channel automatically.

Sorry it doesn't do what you were expecting. What you're looking for with automatic postings isn't something we've ever advertised as a feature.

And what about comments to articles on the site? Where are they shown on FB? I can't understand what is the connection between registered user of the website (via FB) and FB channel.

Using Open Graph Actions, you can have an activity update posted in the user's Activity Log on Facebook that they made a comment, along with a link back to the article. The full comment won't be displayed because that's not how Facebook works. Activity is just for alerting the friends of a user that they did 'something'. If they want to check it out, the friends can follow the link. Posting the actual comment itself would likely not make any sense as it would be a reply to another comment and would be out of context.

What kind of options for activities in FB group site users have. Could you please explain me opportunities to use the program for my site and FB group and how can I link activities from the both resources. Sorry I can't find this information in description of the program.

Thank you beforehand!
The group integration features are similar to that of the Facebook Page channel features. You can currently push content from your site to your group and/or show your group's feed on your site along with any other social network feeds we support.

If there's more you're looking for from Groups, let us know what they are and we'll tell you if it's possible, allowed by Facebook's terms and, if we support it, how to do it.

Thanks,
Alex

Could you please specify what exactly do you mean:

HOW can I push content from my site to my group and/or show my group's feed on my site. Is it automatically process? Or should I do it manually?

Please see our Channels configuration guide. That will take you through the creation of a Channel, which you can use to push any URL from your site, along with a comment, to your Facebook Page or Group, Twitter Stream or LinkedIn Company page:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/posting/

Once a Channel is set up, you can also use it with the SCSocialStream module to show the feed from any of the above social feeds as can be seen at the bottom of this site in the "Social Stream" module.

I hope that helps, but when you have questions, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
