I just purchased this add-on for Joomla and I am really dissapointed so far. Nothing I am doing to set this up seems to be working and it seems that it's due to the fact that FB is deprecating the API V1 that JFBConnect uses. I cannot get a channel setup because I am getting a white screen when I attempt to select a user. This is frustrating!! When is it going to be upgraded to the API V2? If it's not, it won't work after April 30, 2015 and I want my money back.

I cannot get a channel setup because I am getting a white screen when I attempt to select a user.

Please try the suggestions here for fixing a known bug with version 6.2.4 related to selecting a channel owner - www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...or-when-picking-user

Additionally, v6.2.3 and earlier has many known bugs with setting up channels. If you are using an outdated version, please upgrade to the latest 6.2.4.

When is it going to be upgraded to the API V2? If it's not, it won't work after April 30, 2015 and I want my money back.

JFBConnect completely supports API v2 already. We also still support v1 for users who subscribed before you. There should be no interruptions of service after April 30th.

We hope that helps, but if you need anything else, please post from the account you subscribed to JFBConnect from. With that, we can look up more details about your subscription, the version your using and help you further.

Thanks,
Melissa

Thank you for your reply. The trick with repairing the user.php worked great. I honestly searched through a ton of post before I posted this. I didn't find any relating to the issue that I was having. I'm not sure the search feature on this site works properly. :\

I'll play around with the Graph API issue. For some reason when I authenticate on my site, it has the error message about using Graph API V1. Anyway, thanks for your help!

There are two search tools, one for the forum posts (in the black toolbar above) and one for searching the site documentation (in the upper right above the black toolbar). I agree that we could make this more clear.

As far as getting the warning, JFBConnect does support the newer version. You can go to the Facebook Apps area and then to Settings -> Migrations and enable the "Use Graph API v2.0 by default" migration setting to make the change now, instead of letting Facebook automatically do it later on. That should get rid of the warning.
