Hi,

I installed jfbconnect on my website www.vishvas.org few days back. I've configured it to login with Facebook and Google as per the instructions.

Now the problem is that it is taking too much time (approx 2 mins) to login through google. I am unable to figure out the reason behind this. I am using this component in my other website www.vishvas.tv from last two years with no problems at all.... and I have done everything to make it work properly on this website but no success..

Please help!!

Do you have any other third party extensions like EasySocial, JomSocial, etc on your page? Can you temporarily disable any of our Social Profiles plugins to see if that helps with the timing? If so, that can help narrow down where the problem is.

I am not able to successfully register on your site. I went to your site, clicked the side tab to open the SCLogin module and clicked the Google button. I then selected my account and accepted the permissions.

However, when I attempt to create the account, it redirects me to the following page www.vishvas.org/index.php?option=com_users&view=registration and the following error appears "Error The words you typed did not match the ones displayed. Please try again." Can you try disabling Captcha in Joomla? This might be part of the problem.

Captcha in Joomla was already disabled. Now I have also disabled it in K2.

Please check it now.

I was able to successfully register now. The whole process only took seconds, not minutes as you're seeing. I also logged out and logged back in just fine. Could you try clearing your cache and any browser cookies and try again?

There is a Captcha setting in the Joomla -> Global Configuration area that we'd recommend.

As to the length of time to authenticate, we can't recreate this on your site. When we login, it's a very fast process and takes just a few seconds, as expected. There are a lot of variables during the authentication process with a 3rd party network including your location in relation to the nearest Google servers as well as your server's distance and connection to the social network's servers.

It seems like the server connection is fine since it works for us. I'd recommend trying to authenticate from a completely different computer in a different location to see if you have improved results. If so, check your browser for add-ons that may be slowing things down or your IP overall connectivity.

I hope that helps,
Alex

HI Alex,

the problem is still the same.. normally it is taking around 25 to 40 seconds to login through google. Logging out is just fine.. it takes only 5-6 seconds. I have made the following settings:

Captcha: disabled
K2 users : disabled ( Edit: I have to enable it again, coz it started taking 2 min again after disabling it)
joomla caching: disabled

and I don't think this has anything to do with google servers because at the same time logging into my another website www.vishvas.tv through google is working perfectly. It logs in a flick. There must be some problem in this website settings.

Please help!!
