In a post from yesterday you stated you created the LinkedIn setup page a while ago but just published it:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/soci...in-application-setup

As I run through the LinkedIn setup, unless I'm doing something wrong, your setup steps are not in line with the steps on LinkedIn. If I'm correct, LinkedIn updated their application setup options. ???

I can fumble my way through it (using trial & error), but knowing the best options would be very valuable. Especially knowing which OAuth settings are preferred (see this screenshot, it's different than yours).

The OAuth permissions don't need to be setup in the LinkedIn Application at all. We set those at runtime (when a user actually authenticates), which overrides the defaults you'd set in the Application configuration. By default, we only request the "r_email" and "r_basicprofile" settings. If you have integration with a 3rd party profile extension and are importing more user data, JFBConnect *may* request additional permissions.

JFBConnect will always request the minimal permissions required, to make sure the user experience is as easy as pssible.

Should you have any other questions, let us know. We'll look at their application setup area again and make sure things haven't changed too much.. last we checked though, it was pretty close to up-to-date. All the social networks are always changing, and while we try to keep all our docs 100% accurate, it's rare that that's actually the case... unfortunately.

Thanks,
Alex
