I purchased and installed JFBConnect today and everything seems fine except for the jomsocial registration. In the past, I had two registration forms, one for the joomla registration fields (username, name, password, email) and one for the jomsocial profile fields. They were displayed one after another during the registration process. Now I just have only one form with both the joomla and the basic jomsocial profile fields, but none of the other field groups.

It sounds like you're using the JFBConnect registration flow. That will show the standard Joomla registration fields as well as any JomSocial fields that are set as 'Required'. There's plenty of configuration options you can use to change how those fields work as well, but it sounds like that's not what you're looking for.

Other registration options you may want to test are:
* Enabling Automatic Registration in the Configuration -> General tab of JFBConnect. That will automatically create a user and bypass all registration fields when they are logging in with Facebook or Google. Twitter, unfortunately, requires a form since we can't get the user's email address from Twitter.
* Set the "Registration Component" in the Configuration -> General tab of JFBConnect to "JomSocial". That will take the user through the standard JomSocial registration flow when they register. Any fields you have 'mapped' from their social network account will be pre-filled for them, which should hopefully speed up the registration process.

I hope that helps, but if you're looking for something else or can't get things setup, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

I was able to fix the problem. It was caused by the SEF plugin that was redirecting to the default Joomla registration form linked to from the site's user menu. After changing the user menu option to the Jomsocial registration form everything was fine.

Sorry for the delayed response. I received your PM and just tested on your site. Here's what I found:
1) When registering through Facebook, my account was automatically created. No profile information was automatically imported though. This means that either the Social Profiles - JomSocial plugin is disabled, you've disabled all import features in the JFBConnect -> Profiles area or there's a communications issue with Facebook. Can you let me know if things are configured and setup still, or did you disable something?

If you're seeing the registration page when logging in with Facebook or Google, it likely means you're trying to register with an account whose email address is already in your Joomla database. In that case, JFBConnect will send them through the registration flow *if* the "Automatically Link Users by Email Address" setting is disabled. If that setting is enabled, the 'new' user that is registering through a social network will automatically be connected to the existing Joomla account with the same email address.

2) I then tried to register with Twitter. I did this because we can't fetch the user's email address through Twitter, which means the form-based registration flow will have to be used. However, I received the following error when I tried to use Twitter:

Desktop applications only support the oauth_callback value 'oob' /oauth/request_token

Can you double check that you've followed the Twitter Application Setup Guide . Specifically, step 6a and 6b are likely not configured properly.

Finally, I tried to login to the admin area with the credentials you sent, but they didn't seem to work for me.

I hope that helps answer some questions and gets you started. Should you need more assistance though, just let me know!

Thanks,
Alex
