I can't seem to find any tutorials regarding how to integrate JFB with Jomsocial. I found a few topics here in the forum, but the links that were provided to some support documentation only led to the frontpage overview of JFB, not documentation.

Tony,
Sorry you had trouble finding what you're looking for. The main guide for JomSocial integration can be found below:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/thir...ration-for-jomsocial

That's the basics of getting things setup and making sure there shouldn't be a conflict. We're working on a much improved integration system with JomSocial right now with more features and JomSocial 3.0 actually has some built-in integration with JFBConnect. When that release is available, you should just have to flip a switch saying "Use JFBConnect".

Hope that helps, but if you need anything else, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you for the info. Unfortunately, the whole part about template overrides and such is beyond my level of Joomla expertise. I understand basic HTML at best. Is there any way that we can receive direct help with this integration, even if there's an extra fee?

We hired the professional services of our hosting site to follow the instructions provided in your link. However, it didn't seem to accomplish the desired result. Nothing happened with regards to the SC Log-in module on the front of our site, and the only thing that we saw different on the Jomsocial section was the addition of {JFBCLogin} just below Resend Activation Code. We could really use someone's help.

Here's the site: www.thecrushgirls.com/j25/

NOTE: It's being moved to our main domain any minute, so if above link doesn't work, just go to www.thecrushgirls.com.

Sorry for the delay. We try to answer as quick as possible for most questions, but the weekend (a holiday one at that) and a busy last week slowed things down a little.

We don't provide paid technical support, but we try to offer the best support possible through these forms. As for your original question, all you mentioned was "integration with JomSocial", which is why I referred you to that document. Later, you said "However, it didn't seem to accomplish the desired result.". Can you actually describe what you're trying to accomplish and what the 'desired result' is? Without that, it's difficult to provide any suggestions.

As for the {JFBCLogin} text appearing, that shouldn't happen. That text should be replaced by the standard "Login with Facebook" blue-button. The main reasons that replacement wouldn't happen are:
* You haven't enabled the JFBCSystem plugin. That's required for most JFBConnect functionality.
* You've set an "Social Tag Admin Key" in the Social -> Misc section of JFBConnect. For now, I'd recommend leaving that value blank.

I hope that helps get you started, but again, please let us know what you intend to accomplish and we can either help you directly here or point you to the proper documentation.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the help, as the plugin was indeed disabled, and that corrected the problem on the Jomsocial page. However, what I'm trying to do is create another log-in module that can be placed on different pages. I've created a video to show more clearly here:

Tony,
Thanks for the video, definitely explains what you're looking for.

What you're looking to do is:
* Go to the Module Manager in the Joomla Administrator area.
* Search for "mod_login" or "Member Access". That should help you locate the current module you're using for the login area in your sidebar. For note, mod_login is the default Joomla login module.
* Note the "template position" that the module above is in.
* Now, find the SCLogin module in the Module manager. It was automatically installed with JFBConnect, but will be disabled/unpublished.
* Edit the module settings, Publish it, and set it to the same position as the module above.
* Give it a title of "Member Access".

Once that's done, you should see 2 "Member Access" sections in your sidebar. If the 'new' one looks good, disable the old one. Configure any settings in the SCLogin module as you see fit.

Also, note that there is a 'beta' version of the next big release of the SCLogin module already out. You can update to this now if you want. The updated SCLogin module has a modal popup view for logging in (like on this site) and an overhauled design in general. It will be a part of the next release of JFBConnect, but again, can be updated to now either by using the Update Manager within Joomla or going to the SCLogin Overview page .

I hope that all helps, but if not, or you need more info, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex
