Hi Alex.
I Install the new versions of JFBconnect 5 and Jomsocial 2.8.3
I still want to add the function "Like" on the photos (point: 2) and not the comments system.
I followed your instructions and achieve it, the problem is that when I change the images I have to do a refresh to the page,
the 'Like' can not read the url of the new image ..
Users and visitors will not know what to do.
JomSocial system works well (share) but I want to use the JFB 'Like' ..
You could help me in the solution.
Adding a new topic I'll tell you another problem with the 'Like' in joomla articles (See picture)

Later I'll tell you my adventures with the Open Graph
: Greetings and good day:

Miguel,
Very sorry for the delay in getting back to this. We've been investigating the issue you describe, and unfortunately, there isn't really a solution we can provide. In JomSocial v2.8, there is now a unique URL for each photo, which is great. However, when you click the Next / Prev links in the gallery area, it doesn't refresh the page, it simply does an AJAX update of the image.

So, there are new URLs for each image, and if you refresh, like you mention, it will show the accurate Like count for that image. However, the Like button as you scroll through images, will always be for the 'first' image you viewed.

Unfortunately, I still don't have any good answers for how to fix that. There's not a way to tell the Like button to re-render itself or to update it's URL on the fly. The only solution that would work is to change how JomSocial works to prevent the AJAX updates of the image and simply redirect to the new URL for the image. That's not something I'd know how to do. It's a question best put to the JomSocial support team.

So, JomSocial v2.8 is a vast improvement since there can be a Like button for each image. But, once you start flipping images, it starts to break down a little.

Hope that all explains and makes sense, even if it's not what you were looking for.

As for the Like button issue, I don't see another topic you posted. That's usually a pretty easy CSS issue we can help you fix, but we'd need to have a link to a page where the problem happens.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex:
I understood the explanation,
JomSocial now has good connection sharing (pictures and videos) with other social media in the new version 2.8
So the initials points 1 and 2 are discarded.
Now the problem with the "Like button" is around the website (not just a page) so I will leave the link to my website and there you will see the problem (on any page)
The initial point 3, I've solved adding the plugin {....} but has been an issue with users, so do not continue using this method. (Admin only use it).
In the new version of JFBconnect 5, the Open Graph becomes an excellent way to complete the desired connection with facebook,
but in my case I have seen the video tutorial many times and I could not make the connection dream.
I leave that topic for later,
first I would like you to tell me how to solve the "Like Button"

Thanks for your help Alex:

Miguel,
I'm not sure what you're having issues with now. It sounds like you want to add a Like button to different parts of your site, but it isn't working. What is happening? You mention it only works for administrators, but I don't know why that would be.

Can you provide a link to a page where you've added the Like button with the {JFBCLike} tag or JFBCLike module and it isn't working? Let us know specifically what isn't working so we can test. We'll gladly help you get it going.

Thanks,
Alex
