Hi, I bought this good component.
Installation was easy.
Integration with joomla was automatic
The connection with facebook was very easy.
but
The connection with JomSocial has not been possible.
1: I could not connect the Fb Comment on photos or videos
2: I could not connect the Fb Like in Photos and Videos
3: In Jomsocial Groups, could add Fb Comment (JFBCComments {}) but the comments are not read since my template is dark and I could not change the format of Fb comment.
If you could help me resolve points: 1-2 happiness would be complete with this great component (I can live without the point: 3)
Thanks for your attention and have a nice day.
MigPer

For #3, there isn't a lot of control we have over the looks of the comment box. If you haven't already though, please try the dark color scheme by making the comments tag look like {JFBCComments colorScheme=dark}. Hopefully, that will make things more legible.

As for #1 and #2, what happens when you add the JFBCLike or JFBComments tags or modules to those pages? I'd need more information to know what's wrong to be able to provide help as to why it may not be working. JFBConnect will not automatically add those widgets to your JomSocial content. You'd need to add them yourself, if you aren't already.

If you have the tags or modules on a page that isn't working, please provide the URL so we can take a look. That's the easiest way for us to look into things.

Thanks,
Alex

Before continuing I want to thank you for the excellent speed with which you respond.
A: The point # 3 has been solved satisfactorily using: {JFBCComments colorscheme = dark}
B: Point # 1 and 2 .. I have no idea how to add a tag or Module in gallery of photos or when a user adds (upload) a photo in his personal photo gallery ...!
C: In the # 3 (groups) was easy because when you create an article the editor is open and add the code ({JFBCComments colorscheme = dark}) and ready ...
I leave the link to the gallery of photos on my site .. If you need to log in as Admin I can send you the info.
The site is in Spanish, the translator at the top

Thanks..Mig

I've been reading different post and I read that there is no clear answer as adding 'FB Like and comment' on JomSocial photos.
I hope I'm wrong because this is one of the main features I want to work with jfbconnect.

You'd need to add the {JFBCLike} tag to the Photos template from JomSocial or use the JFBCLike module and assign it to a menu item that corresponds to photos.

As for the Like issue, in versions of JomSocial before 2.8, there is no unique URL for each photo. Since the Like button is meant for a user to Like a specific URL, that means there's no real easy way to make the Like button work for each photo. It would only work for the album. JomSocial 2.8 fixes that issue from the limited testing we've done.

So, if you're using 2.8, adding the {JFBCLike} tag or JFBCLike module should do what you're looking for. This was a big complaint that was directed toward JomSocial from what we understand, and we're glad they rectified it.

Hope that helps explain,
Alex

My friend Alex ..
I do not want you to waste your time giving me explanations about how you could insert the FB comment on each photo (JomSocial) without any results
It is possible.... I would like you to tell me how.
If not possible...... please tell me ...
I understand that sometimes things do not work as we would like
If I follow your advice:
:: You'd need to add the {JFBCLike} tag to the Photos template from JomSocial or use the JFBCLike module and assign it to a menu item that corresponds to photos. ::
I would be creating the same comment for all galleries of photos that are in the 'Menu Photos' and that is not the correct solution.
Finally: Can I add the FB comment on each photo galleries of JomSocial....?
^ Excuse my frankness but I'm trying to be realistic and save our time.
Thanks .. Miguel.

It's no waste of time to support our customers. Whether it's possible to do exactly what you're looking for really comes down to what version of JomSocial you are using. Can you let me know your JomSocial version number?

As for the differences:
* With JomSocial 2.6, I believe you can add a comment box or Like button to any album. Any photo in that album would use the same comment or Like button. So, it would be more of an 'album-wide' Like or Comment system. Each album would have it's own Like count and Comments though.
* With JomSocial 2.8, you should be able to add a unique Like and Comment box to each photo *OR* you could do it album wide if you wanted.

Hope that explains the options. Once I know your version, and what you may be looking for from the above, we should be able to help you more.

I haven't forgotten. We're in the process of finalizing the next release of JFBConnect v5.0. It should be out around the middle or end of this week. Once that's done, we'll be investigating a lot of integration features with the new JomSocial 2.8 release, like you're looking for. We'll hopefully have the answers for you later this week once we do that investigation.

Hope that helps, and thanks for your patience,
Alex
