John,
As mentioned above, Autotune should update your migrations for you when run and your settings are applied. However, you can go into the Advanced area of your app in the developers area of Facebook and manually enable the migration.

The migrations are there to let users know when functionality can break. They don't break the functionality before the migration takes effect, or that would defeat the purpose of the notices. So, that shouldn't be your issue, but again, please check to make sure the migration is enabled.

We're finalizing a few more tests of our own to try and recreate the issue. If we're successful, we'll be submitting a bug report to Facebook. We'd love to hear from more users if the Explorer tool above lets you see the data posted, as John showed, so that we have more information about the problem. It definitely seems like an issue on Facebook's end since the data is showing up when queried though, and unfortunately, that means there isn't much we can do on our end right now other than gather data and then submit the bug report.

We'll let you know when it's filed so that you can increase it's priority by saying you are affected as well.

Whew! That's a lot of data!

Alright, the 'issue' started happening on our demo site today... which is fortunate since it helps us to test and submit a bug report. We just submitted the report to Facebook about this and are investigating if there's anything more/different we should be doing. Facebook is being very cagey about whether the automatic actions are allowed anymore, though all their documentation still says they are valid (you'll see from the bug report what I mean).

Please read the bug report and use the "Does this repro describe your issue?" link to raise the priority of the bug report:

application-> permissions autochange and now my application not requests permissions to post on timeline... this means that we must forget "action read"??

Open Graph Actions still work, but there are issues with some of the built-in actions, like news.reads right now. We've submitted multiple bug reports and are pusuing answers from Facebook.

As to the migration change, it shouldn't affect the asking of permission to post on a user's behalf. I just clicked the Login with Facebook button on your site and the popup stated "This app may post on your behalf, including articles you read and more.". So, it seems that permission is still being requested.

We're working on some updates to our documentation to discuss other ways to use Open Graph Actions instead of just the news.reads example we have right now.
