When adding a status update on Jomsocial (v 2.6.2) it doesn't appear to be showing up.
I've followed the steps in the post www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...wall-not-functioning but still no luck! Any reason why this is happening?
Thanks

Dave,
From the post you linked to, I want to call out the last post from me to make sure you checked those steps:

* In the JFBConnect - FB Wall Integration plugin that the "Push Status Updates to Facebook" is enabled. That's the default, and would be surprised if not, but verify.
* In the plugin manager, try setting the JFBConnect - FB Wall Integration plugin to the highest position (lowest number) so that it executes earlier than the others. You can also try last, just in case, and even compare the ordering to the site that does work to see if there are any other differences there.
* In the JomSocial Configuration area, under Site, check your setting for "Activity Display Privacy". I believe either setting should work, but compare with your other site. Just so you know, any posts marked as 'private', 'friends only' or anything other than 'Public' when posted will *not* be pushed to Facebook. Our plugin will only push posts marked as public.
* Finally, in the JFBConnect Configuration -> Facebook API tab, try enabling "Show Facebook API Errors on Front-End". After you post the status, refresh the page and see if any errors appear... if so, let us know.

Also, make sure you've followed the instructions at the bottom of the page below:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/thir...ration-for-jomsocial
Specifically, that you've added the "publish_stream" permission to the Additional Permissions Request field in JFBConnect.

If none of that works, let us know, and we'll gladly help figure out what's wrong.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex.
Yup, checked all those point (and double checked). I even removed the application from my facebook account, then logged back in through my site and checked what it's presenting when it's asking me to authorise the app, and it mentions adding the necessary permissions (see attached).
So a little stumped now.

Hi Alex.
Odd! I've just upgraded to V4.3 of the component, and now it seems to be working! Not sure why, but hey!

Dave,
Awesome! Glad to hear its working. There's always little bugs and features that are being tweaked, and just about everything is inter-related, which is good (or bad when things go wrong). I don't know what would have changed to fix that issue, but a lot of things could have frankly.

Either way, keep testing, and hopefully, v4.3 will just be awesome and fix world hunger. If not though, let us know, and we'll gladly help you look into any problems more!

Thanks, and best of luck,
Alex

Well, it's looking ok at the moment, will see how it goes.
Just created a new thread (www.sourcecoast.com/forums/jfbconnect/jf...actions-and-easyblog) as having problems with OG streams and EasyBlog!

Great to hear it's going. There's always (unfortunately) bugs in software. We try to take care of them, but some crop up with time as changes to Joomla and Facebook occur.

Either way, I just responded to your EasyBlog post. Any other questions about that, keep in that post just to keep things clean.

Thanks,
Alex
