Fritz,
The duplicate og: block of tags is back on the page. That's the first problem that we had figured out before and likely causing the problem again. Those extra tags will need to be removed.

Beyond that, the only other thing that may be an obstacle after that's cleared up is that your site works with both www and non-www URLs. Ideally, you should redirect www to non-www (or the opposite way) so that user's always go to the same domain URL regardless of what they type in the browser. If the URLs are different, the Like button can split the Like counts between both URLs depending on what page the user is on when they click it.

Using just one URL is also good for SEO purposes as well as it prevents search engines from thinking you have "duplicate content".

Let me know when you clear up the duplicate og tags and we can look into this again.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I removed them.

Thanks for that input. I forgot that I have 4 domains (www.swat-mission.com, swatmission.com and so on) and only changed that on one of those. Now I switched all of them to the "www."-version.

Anyway the plugin is not impressed. Still no faces (but mine). :-)

Regards

Fritz

The duplicated tags can still be the issue. If they were on the page when a user clicked the Like button previously, the Like may not have been for the page you were looking at, but for where the 'other' tags where saying. I believe that was your home page.

Please do the following to really verify things:
* Make sure the extra tags are missing
* Use the developer tool to have Facebook fetch the page with the 'right' tags
* Have your friend come and Like the page again (or at least check if it still says he Like's it).
* Then, check if it shows his face when you view it.

Hope that helps. The duplicated tags have put things into an unknown state, and we need to get to the bottom of that.

Thanks,
Alex

Fritz,
Can you do a few things and we'll test more to try to determine why your site seems to be acting different than every other site out there:
1) Can you post a URL you're testing with? The one you linked to above is returning a 404 error now. ( here )
2) Can you add me as a friend on Facebook (Alex Sourcecoast).

I'll try to like the article from a few accounts we have and see what happens, and then, if we're friends, it will help understand what you do/don't see.

Thanks,
Alex
