Dear Alex,

You have been great so far and thanks for all your efforts. I have a wordpress for joomla component on my website and those plugins I am guessing are being used for people to login on the blog component to comment on the site. disabling this would break the usual comment restrictions for me anyway I can by pass this?

thanks
Sandeep

What Wordpress extension are you using for integration? I don't know if you'd be able to bypass though. Only you know your site, and the developer of the Wordpress extension knows it's capabilities. You'd need to contact them, or know how things operate on your site better, to know if you can skip it's login capabilities. That's simply something I can't answer.

It's strange that I can't see any PHP errors on your page. My guess is that your server has them forced off from display, which is why I only see a blank white page, even with error reporting enabled. If you can access your PHP error logs, that would help a lot to debug things. Basically, try to register, get to the error/blank page and then check the logs for any "Error" messages. When you find them, post them here so I can understand better what's actually happening.

Hope that helps, and definitely hope we can get you up and running soon!

Thanks,
Alex

Dear Alex,

You have been awesome in assisting me. Sadly I cannot use wordpress for joomla as it is the worst login I have ever purchased. Its a pity I paid 100 Dollars for nothing, as their support forum crashes trying to post a ticket :( shows how great they are and I still dont get it how they have so many good feedbacks on extensions.joomla.org?

I figured out that the error on my website was not a jfbconnect issue, as wordpress for joomla was giving jomsocial and Kunena errors too.

I have disabled following wordpress plugins to Fix Kunena 500 and JFBConnect Facebook Registration issue as per your recommendations :-

1:Authentication - WordPress
2:User - Wordpress
3:WordPress

Now I am redoing my website so I could create some sort of blog entries for users to comment on. A lot of waste of expensive time with wordpress for joomla please let all your customers know that this extension does not improve users life but makes more stress by breaking php codes for other extensions. I would like to change the header of this topic to wordpress for joomla stuffed up everything on my website :).

Finally I would like to thank you and the JFBConnect team for your support in assisting me during these tough times to bring my website up and running. I would recommend your extension to anyone on the Internet :)

Have a nice day and hope you guys build more stable successful components, modules and extensions.

Kind Regards,
Sandeep.

Sandeep,
So sorry to hear about your troubles. I suggest you get a hold of the corePHP guys, somehow, and let them know about your issues. Hopefully, it's something they can fix. As developers also with a $60 or $100 extension, we understand what our users are expecting, and are glad that we've delivered a solid extension with good support. I'm also glad that we could help you diagnose the problem, even if it wasn't related to JFBConnect.

As for comments, we'd recommend (obviously) the Facebook Comments system built-in to JFBConnect. Or, if you want a built-in Joomla system, you may want to look into Komento. While we've never used that extension, it's by StackIdeas, the same people that make EasyBlog, which is very well respected and supported. There's also a free version to try out with a paid version with more support and features:
stackideas.com/komento.html

Anyways, no problem for the subject line, the support, or anything else. Thank you for your subscription!

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect on the Joomla Extension Directory. It's certainly not required, but very appreciated. As you've noted, the reviews help make decisions on extensions, so your feedback for us and others is very valuable:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/social-...ook-integration/7215

Best of luck,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Can you give me directions to enable JFBComment and recommendations on my website?
I think I might give it a try and this may help me get away with the comments on blogs etc.
Kind Regards,
Sandeep.

The Comment box can be enabled automatically in your Articles by using the Social -> Comments configuration area of JFBConnect. You can easily select what categories or specific articles should have the box included. Beyond that, if you want to add the boxes manually to other content, you can use the {JFBCComments} tag or the JFBCComments module.

Hope that helps,
Alex
