I have installed JFBConnect on my joomla 2.5 website www(dot)imgsas(dot)com and enabled as per the configuration guide but each time the user tries to login or create a account it comes up with the 404 error.

Please help as I need to get the site up and running. Thanks for your help

Sandeep,
Where can I test this on your site? I can't see the Login with Facebook button anywhere. Where can I test the login functionality on your site?

Some other questions that will help narrow things down:
* Is this happening with normal Joomla logins, or just Facebook logins?
* What is the URL of the 404 page?
* Do you have any of the JFBCProfile plugins enabled? If so, try disabling them and see if the error goes away.
* Are you using any SEF extensions?

Thanks,
Alex

Dear Alex,

Thanks for your assistance. In panic I restored the site back to its state before JFBInstall as I have a presentation of the site in a few hours.
I am going to retry JFBInstall after presentation as I would like the social interaction:

The answers to your questions are as below:
* Is this happening with normal Joomla logins, or just Facebook logins?
Normal Joomla login were disabled too, even on the home page of my website I was getting 404 error before.

* What is the URL of the 404 page?
Sorrry in panic I forgot to take a screenshot of the error. But will give it one more try after the presentation today.

* Do you have any of the JFBCProfile plugins enabled? If so, try disabling them and see if the error goes away.
I disabled all JFBPlugins and SClogin however that did not take the error away. I noticed in the sclogin module after the disable when I reenabled everything it was giving an error of extension disabled. Dont know if that has got something to do with some missing plugins.

* Are you using any SEF extensions?
Not sure about the SEF Extensions.

Have you heard of conflicts of JFB with RSJoomla forms by any chance??
I am going to give it one more try today fingers crossed all goes well :)

will keep you posted.

Regards,
Sandeep

Keep us posted when it's up again and we can test. There's nothing that JFBConnect does to alter the normal login flow, so I'm definitely interested to know what the issue is.

Best of luck on the presentation,
Alex

Sandeep,
Sorry I missed this post earlier. We'll continue your last question about the redirect issue in the other thread you created:

Dear Alex,

I get this error on my webpage when I open up my website if I have logged in cache for facebook on my computer.
I have tried to disable the auto connect for Facebook and still the error occurs.

Thanks for the address line 2 advice I will make the changes. However the registration seems to be fine as it is a rsform component.
the problem occurs when you click on the connect with Facebook button on the login page under the IMG main menu. I get the redirect loop on trying to login with Facebook.

I have tried to set the error reporting to maximum and I get the attached screenshot on the webpage.
Please help I need to get this site up and running. I am happy to spend some money to get this going....

thanks and regards,
Sandeep.

Sandeep,
You don't need to pay us extra to help figure this out, that's what your subscription is for.

I'm still unsure just from your description and the front-end view as to what's going wrong. I just tried to login in again and see that I can login normally after the account is created. Is the issue happening only during registration? Do you have any other plugins that try to 'do' anything during registration? If so, can you disable them? If you're unsure, please post what User plugins you have enabled, as those can be problematic.

Beyond that, if possible, can you change the user I created to be a Super Administrator, temporarily, so that I can login to the admin area and see if I can find any common issues there? That will help me diagnose things quicker, but I understand if you don't want to grant that access.

Thanks,
Alex

Sandeep,
Thanks for the access. Made some progress in narrowing down the problem, now I need a little more information from you. It seems like the registration breaks if I enable the Authentication - Wordpress and User - Wordpress plugins. Are you using that functionality? What are you using to integrate with Wordpress? We have tested, in the past, working with the corePHP Wordpress integration extension, but that was a while back. It's possible something isn't working between us and them now.

Of course, if Wordpress integration isn't required and is simply installed to test something, I'd recommend disabling those plugins for now and moving on.

Let me know more about your configuration and hopefully we can come up with a solution.

Thanks,
Alex
