All of a sudden today, I'm experiencing some issues. I just noticed that the login with facebook button wasn't loading in my SC Login module. The text was there, but no button appeared. I thought I should check for an upgrade.

I just upgraded to the latest version of JFBConnect, and used the autotune. The Facebook login still doesn't work, AND, now I cannot logout! The logout button doesn't work.

Can you please help me out.

Thanks,

Ryan

Ditto that here.. its working on one of my sites but broken on the other. The site that it works on is running all the older 4.2, the site where it is not working is running the latest patches.

Its not just the login manger, it seems as though everything is broken, like, comments. etc.

There is a Facebook bug already logged for this issue. I *highly* recommend going to the bug below and clicking "Does this repro describe your issue?" and input your application name and website address. The more users that do that, the higher the issue gets flagged by Facebook.

This is not a JFBConnect-specific issue and will need to be fixed on Facebook's end.

Please do the above, and keep us posted on what you find. We're investigating if there is anything we can do to work around the problem as well.

Same, my login with facebook and connect button have vanished. I'm left with just the text: "Login with Facebok" and "Connect" I have yet to figure out a fix.

Ok Alex - I posted a comment there and subscribed...I'll wait and see.

On a side note, could All.js be messing with another item on my website? My Jomsocial menu is missing tabs (Ie Profile, Friends, Videos, etc). It just happened today as well...think All.js could cause that? ==> Of course, I'm not asking for support :) Just looking for a professional's opinion (I know you know your stuff!)

Ryan,
Yes, the Javascript error *could* prevent other Javascript from functioning properly. You can try to disable the JFBCSystem plugin to see if that makes the menus work (though that will definitely prevent JFBConnect from functioning). Could help narrow down the cause though.

Again, please use the Facebook bug link and click the "Yes" link that you are affected by the issue. It will raise the problem with Facebook further.

Clicked the YES button, and filled it in.

Hmm- try disabling the plugin...didn't help my mystery issue with Jomsocial - thanks anyway Alex :0

Hi Alex,

if its working with some site likes yours for example and on others its isnt working the logic is that its not a facebook bug its a compatibility issiue with JBFconnect, isnt it?

No, it's not a JFBConnect issue that we can tell. The bug report was originally submitted by a site admin that isn't using JFBConnect (or Joomla) at all.

The issue seems intermittent across sites. Some of our sites that we test and develop on are affected, others (like this one) are not. There was a Javascript update by Facebook at 8:19pm tonight (see here ). That update likely hasn't rolled out to all of Facebook's content delivery networks, and so therefore, it's not affecting all sites yet. It's also possible it's a specific conflict with certain applications on Facebook's end or conflicts with certain configurations of Javascript files on sites. Either way, it's an issue in Facebook's all.js Javascript library, and it will need to be fixed there.

We are looking into workarounds, but so far, everything points to this being an issue with the update they just pushed out.
