When invitations are sent via the facebook invite window they are automatically set as read on the recipients facebook which means they dont see that they have a notification.
Please can you help it so the notification on facebook only goes away once its been read by the user and not as soon as they login.

Many thanks

I just went to your page and sent an invitation to another account of mine. The 'jewel' indicator in the top of Facebook lit up and I've attached a picture of what I see:
File Attachment:

Can you try from different accounts, or let us know what you see (or don't see)? We've never heard of this issue, and there's no way for us to automatically mark requests as 'read'.. so there's not much we could be doing to cause this, or to fix it if that's indeed what's happening.

Thanks,
Alex

What I was seeing is that the actual request came through but it was shown as read before the user clicked on notifications. Perhaps that was just something for my site.

The second problem was that the invite request module on version 4.1.2 stopped working and I had 1300 pending invites. I have now updated to version 4.2 will this send the pending invites that were not sent when version 4.1.2 was installed or will I loose all those invites?

Many thanks

Samuel

Samuel,
Not sure about the requests that are marked as read. That's definitely not normal behavior. Please test more and let us know if it happens again, and feel free to use our test page to see if you see the same problem:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/features/joomla-facebook-request

For the requests that stopped working, are you saying while you were sending admin requests, the page froze or otherwise stopped sending requests part way through? Unfortunately, if that's the case, JFBConnect doesn't currently have a way to resume sending requests. We do send requests in order of the User Map table. You may need to page through the User Map table, find the last user that a request was recorded too, and then manually send invitations to the rest. Setting the list count to 100 and using the "Check All" box at the top should make that relatively painless, but will definitely still take some time. We have plans to look into a resume functionality for problems like that, but in almost 6 months, you're the first user to mention having that problem.

Hope that explains,
Alex
