After I upgrade to newest version 4.0 today nothing is working.

mod JFBCLogin gives me An error occurred. Please try again later.
Content Plugin - K2 Comments is not showing up in the K2 items so all the Facebook comments I had on the site is probably gone.
Same with Content Plugin - K2 Like (not showing up in the K2 items)

What can have happen here?

I would really appreciate some assistance with this problem:

No problem. First, we'd recommend clearing the cache from Joomla and/or turning off any minification plugins you may be using to combine/compress Javascript. A lot of the functionality of JFBConnect has changed, and if the old code is getting loaded, that's likely the problem.

If none of the above helps, can you post (or private message) the URL to us? If you want, you can also send us some super admin credentials, so we can really get in and take a look.

Thanks,
Alex

Also, if you try to use the "Login With Facebook" button while logged into Facebook in another tab with an administrator, the "An error occurred" message should have more details about the error. Those details are only shown to administrators of the Facebook app, but can be very helpful in narrowing down issues.

Thanks,
Alex

Swedeboy,
It was the Wibya toolbar, which was re-including the Facebook Javascript library and initializing it to -not- use the new OAuth protocol, which Facebook will require in October. We implemented that integration now, and it looks like JFBConnect and Wibya are now conflicting because of it.

I disabled the toolbar, and the login pop-up worked as expected (obviously test). Not sure if there's a way to customize Wibya to disable Facebook integration, for now, but if possible, please try that. We'll test with the Wibya toolbar shortly to see if there's a way to prevent the conflict.

Finally, before I found out the above, in jReviews, I disabled the 2 settings in the "Community" configuration section under "Social Sharing Services". They both had to do with Facebook as well. I think they can be safely re-enabled, but not sure if you were using them anyways. Let us know if those cause problems too.

Hopefully you won't run into any other problems, but if so, we're obviously monitoring the support area.. we're always proactive.. especially after a new release.

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you so much for your fast and great support Alex.

mod JFBCLogin is now working but can't still don't see Facebook Comments and K2 Like in K2 items, but that can probably be browser cache issue.

We're looking into the K2 issue. Was that working on your site before just fine?

In all honesty, we hadn't been testing K2 integration under Joomla 1.6 simply because K2 2.5 (the version for 1.6+) is still not 'stable', and we generally don't test with beta or other pre-release quality versions. With that said, I removed a check in the content plugin that checks for K2 in Joomla 1.5, so it should work in 1.7. However, the Like buttons didn't seem to work properly.. but the comment box does show now.

One final note.. with JFBC 4.0, we fixed a bug in how the URL for K2 items was generated. This URL is used by the Comment and Like widgets to associate comments or like's with that URL. In some cases, if the URL changes, the old comments won't come with the 'new' URL. There's little we can do about this, and hopefully you aren't affected, but if you are, let us know.

We'll be testing a lot more of K2 2.5 with Joomla 1.6+ over the next few days, and releasing 4.0.1 if there's some obvious fixes we need to implement to make those work better together.

Please keep us posted on what you find, good or bad.

Thanks,
Alex

Alright. Hopefully, it's something easy we can fix then. We'll be looking into this quickly, as we've heard from another user that is using Joomla 1.7 with K2 and JFBConnect and run into some issues. It may take a few days, but hopefully on Monday or Tuesday we should be able to get out 4.0.1 with fixes for this... and any other issues that may be reported with 4.0. Thankfully, this is the only one so far.

Thanks for the report, and sorry for the inconvenience. We'll get you going soon.

I have found another conflict with your component and this new version.

If you're using The World News II template from Gavick like I do (that have Social API built in), Content Plugin - Like is not working even if you have turn off the Social API settings in the The World News II template parameters.
