When someone attempts to connect using Facebook Connect it displays the following Joomla 500 Error:

500 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: jfbconnect, html, jfbconnectView

I am using Core SEF with Apache mod_rewrite enabled. Any idea how to fix this? The connect feature worked when I was already logged into Facebook and went through the connect procedures, but it seems to be erroring out if I attempt to do a connect by putting in my Facebook email/password. Any ideas??

Joomla 1.5.9

I have been trying and trying. Now I am not a genius, but this seems like it should be easier.

I keep getting an error after enabling the login module:

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

Please! What am I doing wrong?

I get different behaviors throughout the day when testing the login module & component. Sometimes I get the whole invalid URL prefix - but only every so often. I have the URL correctly specified in the Facebook application itself.

More strangely is that while using Firefox and logging in with Facebook credentials, the site loads in a new window that has no navigation options. No sliders, no menus, nothing.

Sometimes, when I logout, I receive an error page stating that the correct page cannot be found.

Other than the new window with no navigation, none of these errors seem to have any consistency.

I'm also getting a 500 error with SEF enabled. But then I turned SEF off and am still getting the same error <!-- s:-( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":-(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:-( -->

500 - View not found [name, type, prefix]: jfbconnect, html, jfbconnectView

Running Joomla 1.5.9, JomSocial 1.1.145 and jReviews in FF3.

Thanks,
Melanie

I just installed. Everything went smooth but I get this error when going to Component >> JFBConnect >> Overview

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, <!-- e --><a href="This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.">This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
WebServerX Server at ginseng.tv Port 80

Also if I enable the module, I get this error on the front-end:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class FacebookRestClientException in /home2/ginseng/public_html/x/administrator/components/com_jfbconnect/assets/facebook-api/facebookapi_php5_restlib.php on line 2690

any ideas?

I'm having the same issue as above. Also, in Overview there is no callback URL.
I complained earlier about installation instructions and I was sent here and this forum doesn't help. There should be a PDF available for download or a web page with step by step instructions. The forum post not only has weak instructions, but the updates are also mixed in with the instructions; These should be separate, as they are for most extensions that are purchased. This is the sort of thing I would expect for a free extension, not when we are paying.
Please provide some answers to the previous posts.
Thanks.

I'm also stuck on trying to work out where to put the callback url. Any updates on this?

I also would love some feedback on this, even if it's just that you don't know what's wrong or are working on it.

Has there been any progress with Community Builder?
I would be willing to setup a test site if needed
Please Advise

Thanks!

(Note I have posted something twice - but it seems to save as a draft)
I'm sure it's my bad, but I can't find where to review the drafts...
