We definitely shoot for 'easy', and are glad we're still hitting that target. The last few releases have really added a lot of awesome features, but we sometimes worry that it's too much. We know the backend can be daunting from a first look. It's all about getting comfortable with it though and then you can do some great things.. without being too complex... hopefully :)

As for your question. I'm not seeing the right-column thing where it says "You and Spike Santee Dot Com, 143 friends like this". I know what you're talking about, but usually, there's more around this to say "What" they like.. if it's an advertisement, a Page, etc. That's what I'm missing from the context of what you say you're seeing.

My guess, if I look at the Graph API data from your Facebook Page (viewable here ) is that your website is specified without the http:// in front. It's possible that your 'old' like button did something similar, and so the Likes were attributed to the wrong page. You may want to update your Facebook Page information to try adding that http:// to the website URL and see if that corrects things. Again though, I can't really see what you're seeing, so I can't be sure.. :)

Glad to hear your still liking JFBConnect, and our support. Thank you for your subscription, feedback, and review on the JED. It's a mutual relationship :D

I can't figure out why the automatic LIKE and Comments work in the articles but I can't make the JFBCLike module or tag work. Can I make you an admin on my FB ap so you can look at that?

There must be something wrong with my FB app because I can put www.sourcecoast.com in and your url works but www.spikesantee.com doesn't. :(

When I put in www.sourcecoast.com the button works. When I put in www.spikesantee.com it doesn't. BUT, when I put in spikesantee.com it works?

Oh.. that "142 Friends like this" is just that.. 142 of your friends like the page. However, 194 total people Like it. So about 50 people that you aren't friends with Like your page as well.

What Like button are you talking about that isn't working when you manually insert it? Generally, the Like button really doesn't have anything to do with your app. Any site can add a Like button even without an Application, so there really shouldn't be a connection between settings in your app and the button. If you can explain what button your trying to add, and what page it's on, that will help. I'm a bit confused from the different issues in all the posts above :)

Thanks,
Alex

The 142 friends that like this, do they like www.spikesantee.com or do they like www.facebook.com/spikesantee?
I got the JFBCLike tag and module to work when I insert the right URL. www.spikesantee.com won't work but spikesantee.com does. When I put www.sourcecoast.com that works. Why won't my URL work with the www inserted. I posted a screen show of my app configuration page in hopes you could confirm whether or not I have everything configure correctly.

I think maybe I'm beginning to understand; 195 total people like www.facebook.com/spikesantee. 144 of those people are people who are on my friends list. That means there is 51 people who like www.facebook.com/spikesantee that are NOT on my friends list.

Then over on my www.spikesantee.com page, there are 30 people who like my home page. That's the number that shows up with the JFBCLike tag. But it says be the first of your friends to like this page. Those people I've lost the friend connection with because those would most definitely be people I'm friends with. It would be really hard not to be because I had to plead with my friends to come and like the page in the first place. See I feel like surely some of those 30 who like www.spikesantee.com are friends but it doesn't show up that way. I think somehow in all of messing around, I'm not synced up through my Facebook app properly.

I don't this this is a JFBC problem, I'm sure it's not, I'm sure it is a result of going from a homemade solution to a professional one. I'm just hoping your vast knowledge of FB can help me reunite those 30 likes.

Thanks in advance.

Correct about the friend count of people liking your Facebook page. There's 2 numbers: total likes, and a subset count of the total who are friends with you as well.

Your app honestly has nothing, at all, to do with the like count. As you noticed, you canput sourcecoast.com in for like buttons to us. Theapp in no way affects your Like buttons, that's just not how Facbook works.

With that said, I'm not sure why the friend that like thistext doesn't seem right. Can you try talking to a friend that you know likes it to find out what they see? I'll try to brainstorm as well...

Good luck,
Alex
