I have the JFBConnect installed at www.spikesantee.com. The automatic LIKE and COMMENT buttons and text boxes display and work great.
I created an article and inserted the JFBC LIKE tag in the article. This article is the second article you see. It's encourages people to like my site www.spikesantee.com and not just an article. I have inserted the tag like this:

{JFBCLike url=http://www.spikesantee.com layout=standard show_faces=true show_send_button=true width=300 action=like font=verdana colorscheme=light}

When I click on the LIKE button I get the following error.

There was an error liking the page. If you are the page owner, please try running your page through the linter on the Facebook devsite (developers.facebook.com/tools/lint/) and fixing any errors.

I went to that page, one error to be corrected was the og:locale variable, I did that. Now no errors show in the linter. but I still get an error when I try to click on the LIKE button.

I also tried inserting the module in the document with Modules Anywhere. Same problem.

This is weird, when I took out the www of the URL to Like and just put in spikesantee.com it didn't give me the error.

I don't think I have things between my web site and my FB page configured correctly. In fact I'm sure of it. I set up www.radiotalkingpoints.com completely from scratch. JFBConnect was the first thing I installed on the site. Everything is working great on that site.

But for my site www.spikesantee.com, I set up a FB Page before buying JFBConnect (which is great):

www.facebook.com/spikesantee

Before I was hard coding my LIKE button in an Custom HTML module.

Now that I have installed JFBConnect, I have a new page at:

www.facebook.com/pages/Welcome-to-Spike-...-Com/245298225527573

How can I get everything from www.facebook.com/spikesantee over to this new URL or how can I combine the two?

I think FB is picking up the META information better now that I installed JFBConnect. I wonder if I change the og:title to spikesantee whether or not my page will link back over to www.facebook.com/spikesantee?

When I change the page title to spikesantee, Spike Santee Dot Com, Inc. and Welcome to Spike Santee Dot Com. Somewhere along the way, the like button now says 29 people like this page. But when I hit the admin button the page doesn't have those users that like my page there. Like I said, this is working perfectly on www.radiotalkingpoints.com because I set it all from scratch. How can I find the admin page for those 29 people that already like my page?

PS: If you run the Facebook Debugger it's like a refresh for your web site data on FB because it scrapes your site to test for errors. I ran the debugger after each change to see how the og:title variable was changing.

I must not have my app set up right. I think the 29 users who show up go back to my original hand coded like buttons. I need to set up my app so my www.facebook.com/spikesantee page is linked to my webiste www.spikesantee.com.

Spike,
Easy boy. Take a breath. It's ok :) I'll try to answer everything and wrap it in a bow, but I'm sure I'll miss something.. so just let me know.

The Like button is associated with URLs. These URLs can be on your site, or they can be to your Facebook page. Each URL is unique though, and there's no way to 'combine' Likes for two different URLs, no matter how 'associated' they are. Therefore, you can have a Like button for your homepage (www.spikesantee.com) and another for your Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/spikesantee), but each will have it's own Like count and will be independent from the other. There's no way to say "This like button should increment the counters on both pages".

So, the Like button you currently have on your homepage is for your home page. I just clicked it. It works well. In my Wall, I get:
Alex Sourcecoast likes a link.
Spike Santee Dot Com, Inc.
Spike Santee Dot Com - Sales, Marketing, Training, Management
There's also an image of your Four Keys book.

So, you have some choices:
1) Add another Like button to your homepage with the URL being for your Facebook Page
2) Use the JFBCFan module (or tag) to show your Page info on your site. This is good as it can also show Fan's avatars, the stream, and it's own Like button
3) Decide you don't care about Likes to the homepage or the Fan Page and just have one like button to where you really want to focus 'Likes'

Hope that helps explain, but if you need more info, just let me know!
Alex

The reason the like button works well is because your backend is easy for a novice like me to use. I struggled and struggled trying to write my own code in a Custom HTML Module.

On my www.facebook.com/spikesantee page, in the left hand column, it shows that 195 people like www.facebook.com/spikesantee. Over on the right hand side it says You and Spike Santee Dot Com, 143 friends like this. I thought those were the people that have "LIKE"ed my www.spikesantee.com page. Am I wrong about that?

On the like button on my home page, it says 29 people like www.spikesantee.com because that's what is programmed into the module. But when I hit the ADMIN link, there is no data, the people who like my page are not there.

I can't figure out how to find those 29 people. I was hoping there was something I could put parameter somewhere that would cause the admin page to find them somewhere.

This is certainly a great product but the customer support is really awesome.

Whew, that feels better now ;)
