I think you've stumped us. Can you IM me some admin credentials to log into the backend of your site to determine what might be going on?

sure what's your IM?

Array ( [0] => Array ( [uid] => 508697096 [first_name] => Christopher [last_name] => Mobley [status] => Array ( [message] => installing ionCube loader. [time] => 1243393210 [status_id] => 111845491328 ) ) )

No, not yet. Sorry, we worked on it a bit yesterday and some odd things occurred, but weren't able to determine the cause. We'll be trying some more things today.. very curious to figure out the solution though.

So we just tried changing your API and secret keys to one that we created (updating our callback URLs to your site), and we're able to log in normally. This leads us to think there's something set in your FB application that is causing the issue and not JFBConnect itself.

Can you try creating a new FB application and simply setting the two settings I mention below (Canvas Callback and Connect URL). Leave everything else at default, enter that into JFBConnect and try again. If it does work, then you can compare the two apps to see what's different and steer the other one in the right direction. We'd love to know what setting it is that's causing it, and if you feel you really need it for your site, we'll see what we can do.

I've attached a screenshot of our application overview page (excluding the API and secret key). These were the exact settings that redirected properly to the quick registration page.

No, I didn't go though the whole process. It did redirect me to the 'quick' registration page to let me create an account and correctly displayed the "Hello Alex, would you like to login or create an account" text. It also closed the pop-up box, so that's definitely on the right course.

sourcecoast wrote: You need to go to <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="www.facebook.com/developers">www.facebook.com/developers and create an application for your website. Mainly, just set your Callback URL's to your home page URL. When that's done, insert your API and Secret key into the configuration area of JFBConnect.

That should make your callback URL show up (and it should be your home page). Post here if you still have issues when that's complete.

Hi i just purchased this component, installed it and everything according to the installation instructions. when i click on the facebook connect icon on my website, the pop-up comes up and displays this error:
The Facebook Connect cross-domain receiver URL (http&#58;//productmarketingnews.com/index.php?option=com_jfbconnect&view=xdreceiver&format=raw#fname=_opener&%7B%22t%22%3A3%2C%22h%22%3A%22fbCancelLogin%22%2C%22sid%22%3A%220.728%22%7D) must have the application's Connect URL (http&#58;//www.productmarketingnews.com/) as a prefix. You can configure the Connect URL in the Application Settings Editor.
my site is [url:34lx7opf]http&#58;//www.productmarketingnews.com[/url:34lx7opf]
can someone please help?
Thanks!
