Oh i understand. I wasn't really looking for support since my site is .net based. I was just trying to understand if it's a popular issue with Facebook or just has to do with the app. Looks like a good number of people are having the error, which is weird...hence my question. Is it an error you've noticed with a lot of people lately or no?

These are the support forums, that's the purpose of them. The subscriber above is the only time we've heard of that specific error, but we've diagnosed many issues with Facebook Invitations in the past. Again, if you need more help, please look into getting a subscription.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi together,

I have a small problem with the invite-module, too. On my page www.wajanja.de/facebook-interaktiv.html the module is shown correctly, but if I chose sone friends to invite to "pop-up" (is it one?!) is cut on the right side. I alredy tried the tipps in this thread (the libe 40 in the default.php is correct with z-index 100). The with was too short, too, but this I could fix.
I´m no crack with joomla, can anyone tell me what to do with the z.index or where the problem is?

Kind regards,

Marco

Marco,
The problem is that some of the containing divs around the Invite module on your site are hiding the wider div that we try to create. In the following file, if you can comment out the 'overflow:hidden' lines for the following elements, that should fix your problem. Usually, this shouldn't introduce problems in other areas of the page, but test. The elements to comment this out are:
.floatbox and .float-left

Hope this helps, but let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

thank you for your answer. I tried to comment out these lines and the invite-module worked correct - but the boxes on the bottom of our page semm to use that, too - they are not any more on their positions. :(

I have "fixed" the problem now that way: I deacvtiveted the log-in-box just for that site, so the right position is not in use. Noe it seems to work (I hope so).

Kind regards,

Marco

No problem. Hopefully your 'fix' works. The overlap problem in the invite module is annoying, but unfortunately, it's imposed by Facebook and there's little we can do about it other than expanding the surrounding div.

If you need anything else, just let us know!
