Friends pictures not showing

Howdy, just wanted to update this thread. We were in the process of testing a new release of the module which has a setting for show/no show of avatars. All of a sudden, during testing, the avatars started appearing as before. Seems like Facebook updated something on their end of things to fix the issue from before.

We'll still be updating the module to have the yes/no for showing faces which will hopefully prevent this from happening in the future. Sveltoss, I checked your site, and things look normal now. dchristof, I checked yours as well, but it appears you went to a different module.

We just released the updated version, 3.0.1. This version adds the color scheme option (light/dark) as well as the 'show faces' option. You can install it directly and it will upgrade the module you already have (and leave the current parameters intact). You should still edit the module to ensure things look correct as well as configure the new settings.

We did remove the connections setting as it no longer seems to be used. The FanBox seems to always show 2 rows of faces, and will increase the number of those shown depending on your width setting. For all of the settings Facebook allows, see the page below. The height setting is only for iFrames, which we don't like/use.

Hrmmm. I definitely see what your saying. We'll investigate some more and see what we can do. Unfortunately, the Facebook demo page for that box has the same issue, which may mean we're limited in a few ways. We really don't like using the iFrame options, but will also test if that fixes the problem. If so, we may give it as an option in the module to choose iFrame or not.

We'll also poke around the Facebook developer forums to see if this has been reported before, and if not, report it. We agree, it's not 'right'.
