Thanks for the complements about our support. We feel it's important to provide support, cause, while we make excellent extensions, there's always weird cases with weird issues. In addition, we like to help Joomla users even if their problems aren't directly related to our extensions. Your subscription is the best way to say thanks, and we appreciate it. Of course, if you'd like to leave a review on the JED for JFBConnect, that'd be great too, but definitely not necessary.

As for the access levels, I really haven't tried CB's access controls too much, so I don't know a huge amount about that. However, using CB just for it's access control seems like a recipe for trouble because of the other baggage that would come along with it. Some Access Control Level (ACL) extensions that I'd directly recommend are below:
JUGA - Great company and developers. Pretty easy setup, as far as ACL extension, but powerful enough to do exactly what you're looking for. They charge monthly, and it's a bit high in my opinion, but the extension is great and you can buy it for 1 month, get it setup and as well as get any support you need during that month, and hopefully not need to re-subscribe.

Community ACL - More complex setup, but more powerful. Not sure you need all the different options that this would provide though. Cheaper.

In general though, I'm not sure you need either of the above. If you 'know' who you want to submit articles to your site, you can make them "Authors". These users can create content, but not publish it. You can make other users "Publishers", and they will have the ability to create and publish articles (even publish other peoples articles). This is all built into Joomla 1.5.

If you want to restrict Authors a little more, there are great (free) addon's like Content Submit which lets you put a link for "Create Article", but restrict which category it would be submitted too:

I'm really not sure if CB is required for your needs, but you know your site much better than I do. Hopefully the above helps, but if you want to talk more about possibilities, don't hesitate to ask :)

Thanks again!
