This site has issues with connectivity, www.Just1Vote.ca  See image attached

just1vote.ca/administrator/index.php?opt...&title=&description=

I wanted to ask about application for this site, I want to have Admin be abke to oost to all groups (regional Groups ) and the Regional Group Candidates to be able to post and share to their regional Social Groups.    IE I have Just 1 vote Oshawa group (same for all Ontario Election Cities, as the site admin I want to post to All Elections Cities, and Allow or Owshaw Just1Vote Candiddates to post and share to that page only   does that make sense?

I understand what you're looking for, but unfortunately, JFBConnect does not have granular permissions like that available for Channels and posting content.

When you setup a channel within JFBConnect, that becomes available to all admin users to post to. You can change the user group that is able to post by using the 'Options' button from the JFBConnect admin home page, but even then, it would apply to any users in that group or above.

There isn't a way to say users in group 'a' can post to channels y and z while user's in group 'b' can post to v and x and user's in group 'c' can post to v, x, y and z.

As for the image you posted about not being able to connect, when I click the Facebook login button, the popup shows the following error message:

JSSDK Option is Not Toggled
Please toggle the "Login with Javascript SDK" Option to Yes in developers.facebook.com to use the JSSDK for Login.

Can you go into your Facebook Application settings and make sure that setting is enabled.

If you haven't already, please follow our full Facebook Application Setup Guide .

Finally, please do not post your admin account details here. This is a public forum. If you need to send private information, use the Contact Us link at the top of the page. We'll usually reach out to you and let you know if we need admin credentials to diagnose an issue.

Thanks,
Alex

We had also the same issue, and such "Login with Javascript SDK" setting is enabled.
Allowed Domains for the JavaScript SDK setting was domain.com but we had to also add www.domain.com

Ok a little confused..
When I read here
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/post...reate-social-channel

Specifically in Attributes it's says;
Channel Owner - This is the Joomla user on your system that has connected their account to the selected provider (Facebook in this example) and is an administrator of the channel (a Facebook Page you want to post to). If this list is empty, you will need to authenticate on the front-end using the login button for the selected provider (not Joomla credentials). Then you can refresh your channel to have the list of users re-populated.

And says..
the user has properly approved your application, you should see the additional available for the channel, if available:

Facebook Page Selection

Choose the Facebook Page (or other social channel that the user is an administrator of) that this channel should post to. Then, select the published option and click "Save".

Question DOES that not mean that, a specific user profile can be assigned permission to specific channels that they can post too?

Further more does is mean that the user, if an admin to a Facebook page or group of their own can be posting to their own Facebook Page from the site, if user attributes are set correctly? Does this not mean users can register through multiple social accounts and then connect their own social account channels to post to from the site?

Question DOES that not mean that, a specific user profile can be assigned permission to specific channels that they can post too?

That is correct, but let me fully explain below.

The "Channels" in JFBConnect are for posting to a Facebook Page or user's Profile (along with other social networks, but I'll focus on Facebook here). Once you configure a channel and the user grants permission to post to that channel, then any admin can post to that channel on behalf of the user.

The functionality isn't really intended for regular user's to post to their own profile or a Page they may own. There are Like buttons and other means for pushing content from a user to their own profile or Page.

The main purpose is for an admin to be able to configure multiple Pages or Profiles that the website uses for promotion/news and be able to easily post to those channels. A website may be run by 10 people, and with the Channels features, those 10 users can setup their profile and Pages they own to be able to be posted too. Once configured, then any of those 10 people can post content to any of those channels.

If you're looking to have your users post content somewhere, it'd be helpful if you can explain what you're looking to do (what the user flow/experience would be) and we can explain if that flow is possible or suggested with JFBConnect and how you'd go about doing it.

I hope that helps explain, but should you need anything else, just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

I have yet to even get the Social Login running which has been years and I need to proceed to getting the Channels and auto posting. ASAP for some contractual obligations I committed to for the website

is their a way to invite you to my Facebook dev portal ?

this is the Site : icanhero, com but this is NOT the only site I need working, I need to get a handle because I follow the instructions word for word, and if you remember when I first bought this application years ago I was for months following and old out of date video you had on your website

Using the credentials you sent, your channel for the group has a message that you have not accepted the publish_to_groups permission. In order to accept this permission, I need to log in via Facebook. However, I attempted to use the email address you sent in the google doc (which I've removed from the thread for privacy reasons0). Can you resend the full email and password to me using our Contact Us form?

Adding our Facebook account to your FB dev portal doesn't buy much when trying to get the groups channel working as the user is not an admin of the group. We should get it working for the user that will continue to be the admin going forward.

Send me that email/password to FB in our Contact Us and I'll try to help get you going.

-Melissa

Try refreshing your browser or reopening the site; on a mobile app, close and reopen the app. You can also check to see if Facebook is offline and then restart your device, update apps, and clear your cache. Visit smm panel deals for more stories here is many articles regarding your problems.
