Hi

I posted this also for another thread but maybe its here where it should be though its belong to the SCLogin module.

I also have problem after updating JFC the users cant close the popup modal window by the x icon top right corner I have on front page. Its related after investigation to EasyBlog 5.1.6 and EasySocial 2.0.17 using Joomla 3.6.5.

You can login from that popup modal window but you cant close the popup modal window by the x in the right top corner so if people come to the site click on the top Login button they get stucked and cant browse to other pages on the site..

And you can close the modal popup with your escape button then it close the popup modal login screen but not when clicking on the x in the corner of that popup window..

Its releated to EasyBlog 5.1 and EasySocial though other menus where EasyBlog 5.1 & EasySocial 2.0.17 is not loaded then it works. As soon there is a EB module/menu to EasyBlog 5.1 this closing of the SClogin module doesnt work to click on the x icon.

Hope you can fix this asap though this is very irritating for users coming to the site click on the login button and then get stuck in the site there..

Cheers!

Are there any Javascript errors on the console when you attempt to close the modal? Could you provide the specific URL where I can see the behavior in action please?

Looking at the page source, I'm not seeing the Javascript Bootstrap library being included on your page - it looks like there's some extension/etc that's minimizing the javascript on your page into one file. Could you try temporarily disabling that functionality to see if there's an effect on the modal closing and we'll go from there.

Hi thanks.

You can see this page where I have disable the "EasyBlog latest post" module www.dreamhouses.com/it/ (Italian page) that it works and then on the normal page where EasyBlog module latest post module is enable it doesnt work.

I've tested the EasyBlog Latest Posts module on our test site and am not running into the same problem. Could you:

1. Try disabling the compression that you have for Javascript and let us know if there is any change?
2. Try reordering your system plugins for JFBConnect and EasyBlog, i.e. swapping the order of what's first etc, to see if there's any change?

I will try to see if there is any javascript compression that affect this but dont you think its strange that it work when disabling EasyBlog "Latest posts module" f or Italian pages it works www.dreamhouses.com/it/ but it doesnt work when EasyBlog latest module is enable on other pages. So what you mean is that there is some javascript compressions that only work for EasyBlog "Latest posts module" or ...? I didnt get that logic and analysis clear..

Nope tested all system plgs and changed orders there and no effect..

HI

it seems that the jQuery for JCLogin module not working with the templates jQuery plg for closing

If I enable this for JFC component, see attachment image,
File Attachment:

it works but that will have other conflicts and high loading times for EasyBlog and EasySocial and its not good solution.

Can you check why jQuery of SCLogin not working for the closing part there?

rgds see also attachment

Are you saying that when you enable the "Include jQuery / Bootstrap" setting in JFBConnect that things work properly? If so, that means that the jQuery and/or Bootstrap version used in your template is conflicting or not compatible with what JFBConnect and the SCLogin module require.

As Melissa noted though, for us to investigate further, the first thing we'd recommend is to disable the optimization plugins you have on your site. Many times, those optimizations will re-order scripts in a way that causes conflicts like you're seeing. Please try disabling that and, even if it still doesn't work, leave disabled so we can see what is happening under the hood.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi

thanks for coming back to me about this. I will try to explain whats going on.

The problem in the site is o n l y related to EasyBlog & EasySocial components/modules with login not being able to close (the x in top module) and when there is a module like EasyBlog latest post module. Everything working elsewhere. ( can press esc and it work but not by pressing the x close in the SCLogin popup module there)

Example of menu direct to EasyBlog where its not working
www.dreamhouses.com/en/blogs

Example of menu to EasySocial where its not working
www.dreamhouses.com/en/portal

Example on other pages where it working just test whatever...example www.dreamhouses.com/en/search

So JFC and SCLogion working on all pages where its not a EasyBlog,EasySocial module or a menu to these components.

There is no optimization plugins enable except Gzip Page Compression in Joomla setting or any other cache plg, components enabled, Site using CloudFlare.

Everything working before and the problem seems related to new EasyBlog & EasySocial connected to jQuery and latest updated new JFC verision 7.2.

Hope you can help to sort this out.

Cheers!
