I have followed all directions for setting up the JLinked component however my test user is unable to import data after logging in. The login occurs however no data is imported and no errors are displayed even though I have Display API Errors set to "Show". The import was successful for me personally when I logged in via the LinkedIn button with my LinkedIn account.

Joomla 3.1.1
Jomsocial 2.8.4

Matthew,
With one user, the data imports, but with the other it doesn't? Does the other user have all their profile fields filled out in LinkedIn? Is there any extra privacy settings you may have set for that user?

I'm not sure what would be causing the issue you mention, especially since it works for one user. Would you be able to post, or Private Message, the URL of a site where we can register and see what happens?

Also, let us know what version of JLinked and the Social Profiles - JomSocial plugin you are using.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex

I am using JLinked 2.1 and Social Profiles 5.0.1

The user has a complete LinkedIn profile, as that was one of the first things I verified. I am going to do a reinstall of Jomsocial and all supporting components / plugins as I have discovered various other anomalies with their app. I will report back on my findings when the reinstall is complete.

Thanks

We do a lot of testing with JomSocial profile integration and haven't heard of it not working like you mention, especially just for one user.

Once you get things back up again, the things I'd check are:
* See if the avatar is being imported. That's done a little separately from the profile data, so knowing if both don't work, or just the data can help narrow things down.
* Go to the JLinked User Map area and make sure the correct 'mapping' has been setup between the LinkedIn user and your Joomla User
* in JomSocial, make sure that only one user has been created for the account (no duplicate users in there).

Let us know about any of that, and we'll gladly help you investigate.

Thanks,
Alex

Reinstall is complete and all is functioning well now. I am now getting an error message when trying to update to the latest release of SourceCoast extension library for JFBConnect and Jlinked, however that is another matter that I will raise in another ticket if I can't work it out.

Disregard that message. It's something we need to figure out a solution for on our end. Basically, that library package is no longer allowed to be downloaded from the Joomla Update manager. We'll likely re-enable it soon, but there's some more testing we want to do. It shouldn't affect you if you're not on the latest and using JLinked though.

I hope that helps, and sorry for the confusion.

Thanks,
Alex

Matthew,
Will keep you posted. We're determining the best course to fix the problem. There's some logistical issues with all the options we have. Again, for now, just ignore it. It's not a real issue, though annoying to see.

Thanks again, and glad things are going smoothly now.
