I just purchased and installed JLinked and I'm getting the following error when I attempt to "login with linkedin". Do you have any guidance?

JLinked API Error: OAuth callback URL was not confirmed by the LinkedIn end-point ()
From:https://api.linkedin.com/uas/oauth/requestToken?scope=r_emailaddress

Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
In the LinkedIn Developer area where you created your app, make sure you've set the Website URL correctly. The error means that the redirection that JLinked is trying to perform isn't going to a URL that LinkedIn thinks it should go to. LinkedIn does a lot of checking like that to make sure bad behavior isn't taking place and redirecting users to the wrong page for malicious purposes.

I hope that helps, but if your Website URL looks correct, can you post (or PM) the website URL you've set?

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,
Thank you. The website appears to be correct in LinkedIn. It's very possible that I configured something incorrectly.... The demo site we're trying this on can be found here, www.qualifize.com.

Thanks,
Matt

Matt,
When I load that page, if I go to the Javascript Error Console in my browser (Chrome), I'm seeing the following message:

Uncaught Error: You must specify a valid JavaScript API Domain as part of this key's configuration.

Check that the Javascript API Domain and Website URL in your LinkedIn Application is set to:
www.qualifize.com/

If those seem correct, then it may be a general communications issue. I just tried to login with LinkedIn on your site and it took about 45s or so for that error message to show. That may be an indication that there was simply a timeout with communication and nothing is really wrong with your Application configuration. In that case, can you check your System Information in Joomla and go to PHP and search for "cURL". Past whatever information is in that section, mainly the version number that you have installed.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,
Thank you. I added the domain to the javascript section in LinkedIn but that did not appear to help.... See the screen shot attachment of the curl settings.... How do I PM you?

Thanks,
Matt

Matthew,
I got your PM, but it didn't have any more information or anything that could help us diagnose the problem.

Would it be possible to access the admin area of your site to look around and investigate things? I'm not sure what's going wrong, but seeing your hosting setup and PHP configuration will hopefully help us narrow down exactly what's wrong.

If not possible, just let us know, and we can give you a list of other things to check out which may be causing the issue.

Thanks,
Alex
